EUR170 is quite in line with prices for other mods in the same league, like the GG. (I can't think of any others) And a heck of a lot less than a lot of inferior products.

As mentioned above, this price cannot be compared to the current GP mods, because you are buying one mod that handles all battery sizes.

With a justGG brass about to ship, and a Piccolo remaining on my wish list, I had no intention of buying an X. I prefer to carry 18350s and 14500 with me, and only use my Provari with 18650s for dripping at home. But the X looks so beautiful, I might have to pick one up.

After seeing the PapsX, the logical part of me is thinking, "you have many fine battery tubes already, almost 4 full working GP Paps, and a half-dozen others. why would you ever think of getting yet another mod?"

the GP fan in me is screaming "UP AT DAWN, TAKE MY MONEY!!"

something tells me the latter is going to win this battle ;)

Meh, who cares, any clones would be made of scrap metal from rusty decommissioned Cambodian tugboats, used bubble gum and lead-infused paint.

I guess, I care? I am not a fan of profiteering from theft, especially the Chinese from Greece.

GP Fam,
I am soon to order good things from Funkmaster P.
Part of the order will be GP Fluff http://www.vapourart.com/en/product/gp-fluff-version-2 , I would like to order much and get enough for those whom also want it. It is simply the best on the market and worth the €. GP fluff is perfectly packed, firm, shapely and lasts for many many rinses. It beats the hell out of the Sera Wool I was giving away. Unfortunately I can not give this away.
We will save on the individual shipping. I only look to break even. When I send it to you I don't expect to be more than a stamp or two. I know many were interested and would like to get an idea if all are still interested. Here is the start of the list just quote and add your name and # of sheets. I will leave this for a few days.
There will be no reason to prepay as if something comes up, someone else will pick it up or I will keep. :)

Oh, and Q, you know I will send to Canadadada...da if you wish brother.

Yeah 23mm. I believe Persus said 22mm was to thin and weak for the section threadings

Sent from my SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 4

I agree it is to thin thats why i sold the Nem i got. It felt cheap because the metal is thinned out to much with section threading.

Yeah 23mm. I believe Persus said 22mm was to thin and weak for the section threadings.

Why not go with finer, less deep threading.
Except for the locking ring that can benefit from larger coarser threading in order to need less revolutions for travel, why the need for beefy threads?
Is there any great torsional momentum that a mod has to withstand?
I just don't get it with my thick head.
As much as i would like an X, it goes too much against my grain an 18xxx mod with a 23mm OD.
I must be the only person on Earth with this disease.(and probably Super-T Dave)

PS. I recently was able to get my hands on a straight Piccolo(SN 0113) and i must say, even though it is an older version the switch is the nicest ever of all the mechanical devices i have tried so far.
At 16mm OD it is only 1.5mm larger than the battery it houses. Threads of the top cap and switch assembly are very nice and fine.
Why can't its big brother use the same threading and same wall thickness of the tube?
I am really curious if there is a design feature that requires a deep threading or it is just cheaper and more financially feasible.
Or maybe it is just a consumer preference, the heavy and "solid" feel of an anti tank hand grenade that gives a sense of security to some people that it wont shatter and blow their face off if something goes wrong with the battery.
I hope nobody gets me wrong.
I like very much the GP line of products, they look extremely nice and polished but the 22-23mm OD is killing me in the prime of my life.

So since I couldn't get rid of the "thread" taste from the build on my Spheroid, I decided to tear it down and rebuild it this morning.

Everyone knows I'm a cotton wick fan, so..

rebegare.jpg

Took some time to get that thing mounted right since I was mounting the coil by itself with no help from excess wicking material to help stabilize. It's not low-ohm by any means, and the tails are roughly 1/4" in length. I know, I know, I will do my best to brush up on my metric.

Finally I can appreciate the Spheroid. Poor thing has been shelved since purchase, because taste is huge to me. It always had great vapor, but the wick taste was horrid. Until I figure out how to rid the taste from the stock wick, it will be cotton for my vaping pleasure.

Yeah, but they'll look like crap, and fall apart in record time. Anybody who would be willing to part with their hard-earned money for such a piece of clone kaka, and would admit to owning said kaka, and be seen in civilized company sporting said kaka, should not be allowed to purchase, own or otherwise handle GP products.

I'm a big fan of class distinctions. As the Roman Senate said when deciding on palaces for the rich or decent housing for the poor, "F&*$ the poor!"

Perhaps an obvious question: do you get this taste from using silica wick in other devices?

A good question as I haven't used that type of wick in any other device besides the Spheroid. When I first purchased a Kayfun, I slapped micro/cotton on it right out the box.
