You should be boiling all of your medium such as silica and eko. Drenching
I have been lucky to boil 3-4 minutes on my ekowool and longer on silica but, Yankeebobo boils his unicorn cotton up to 20 minutes to rid of impurities and clean taste.
We have developed the 16 and 22 mm mods which cover the majority of the atomizers, but for our plans the 22 mm OD is restrictive. Simply, some things need room to be done properly, at least in the way we design them.
Q!
Here you go bro. This is after a full day of use, and topped off this morning. Here is a shot of the wick when disassembled..

If you ask me, it seems to hold its shape nicely. All depending on the size of wick you installed, of course. If you installed a thinner, less durable, wick on the coil, you would know it.
The Spheroid did leak on me last night. Was at the theatre and sitting down, obviously, and it was in the "lighter pocket" of my jeans. Spit a couple drops on my shirt. No stain, no pain; however, I'm still trying to wrap my mind on how it leaked. I didn't top it off before heading out, so I'm sure it wasn't over-saturated.
And re: that leak, Spheroid shall leak 'only' if it remains over-filled for a while and gone unvaped. That is, if we notice juice floating over the fluff while filling - and we then go ahead and assemble it - but don't use it for sometime.
In which case, there will be a juice built-up at the coil, which will trickle down via the air-channel of the base and out of the air-hole at the bottom.
NOTE: The above could also happen if the fluff is too light, thin and then loosely wrapped over the airway tube. And force-multiplied by not vaping the device for a while.
Would any of the above cause it to leak through the DT? That is the culprit I believe.
I'd just like to know how Perseas bettered the v2.5 Switch with the PapsX?
That awesome switch was/is way ahead of its time... none have replicated it yet... one of the reasons I cannot/dare not like any other bottom firer... that Paps v2.5 had effectively nailed all my mod forays.
Nice again!
I'll give it one more day... for ur updates... then build a micro-cotton on one of my Spheroids√
The closest relative to GP PAPS X's switch is the GP Piccolo's one, both were designed at the same period, on August 2012. The implementations of that switch required 9 months, counting from the release of the GP Piccolo v2.5 and v3 on last December.
The GP PAPS v2.5 switch can be implemented further, we have some things already on paper.
I've had micro/cotton coils in my Spheroids for going on five weeks. Have changed the wick for flavor change, or because I thought I should, but the coils are still going strong. Changing wicks is so easy and I have never had a cotton sag problem. I do find myself filling the Spheroid more than I probably need to, but think that's in my head. This build is awesome and has given me the best performance I've ever got from my Spheroids.
