I find that resting the Lux on any surface that isn't flat and hard will make it fire. If I am not mistaken, this is to be expected, as the button has a very small trigger travel. I like this, speaks to the engineering and manufacturing precision. Besides, it makes me aware of where I set it to stand, as any surface that will make it fire will increase the chance that it will tip over - and that is anathema.

Uh, wait until u handle the Atomo v1.1, if u do buy it that is :)

If I am not mistaken the Atomo hasn't a locking mechanism. Just the kind of passive protection we have in v2.5 switch minus the safety of a locking ring. I haven't seen one in person, I am guessing from the photos.

Yep. The Atomo looks nice, vapes well... but is NOT SAFE.

It has a nice switch, which is pretty much alike our loved Paps v2.5 type... 0.5mm throw (approx.). And being mounted inside - slightly up - the Switch Housing it can be kept upright, just like the Paps v2.5 series. BUT, there's no locking mechanism. Which is plain DANGEROUS. I have notified my concerns to the modder in the Vapour Wall thread, as well as via PM.

As it is right now, I DON'T RECOMMEND the Atomo v1.1 to anyone.

Dear, pls read the above post ;)

I'd did... I took your comment to mean that the Atomo has a shorter throw and/or easier press than the 2.5... Assuming that's even possible...

I took that to be a good thing, being that short throw with a light press is what I like. If I got your comment out of context, my bad.

Eh. That PV does nothing for me, Never has and never will. I am amazed how mod euphoria courses through a forum and they are on everyone's must have list. Seems every one that is subscribed to the High End thread had to have one. Not impressed but, you also know my formidable case of OCD would not allow that finish in my posession.

Yes, the Atomo switch is nice... has a very slight throw... very similar to the Paps v2.5. It fires well, fires everytime 'on touch'. And for the fact that it's also 'magnetic' - that's some neat feat indeed! However, without some sort of locking mechanism in place - it WILL FIRE when in pocket!

However, like I said before (reproduced below) "There is no other Mod Switch in the Mechanical APV world today as the GP Paps v2.5. This Paps' Switch is as good as it gets as of now." Aka, "Simply the BEST".

This little thing has changed my life forever ...

Now I just can't enjoy / pick-up any other Mod ...
Kudos to the ingenuity of Perseas and his team at GP :)

So it's the Makarov of the PV world.

Ι understand what you mean, but it is hard to be shown in a photo, because we are speaking for 0,05 - 0,07 mm.

You have 2 solutions, which may conclude to be one:

1) You increase the concave opening in the holding nut, just a bit with a dremel and then, you sand down a bit the firing pin. Something can go wrong and then I send you a new button.
2) I send you a new button now.

This weekend I'll take apart the switch again and look at it with your directions in hand to see what you're describing.

It's just a minor issue and I'm very happy with the unit. I appreciate your generous offer of a new switch but I doubt that'll be necessary.

There's nothing on my "must have" list at this point. A BBM Steam Punk is way up on my "really want" list and if Mac starts producing, that too. Beyond that I'm a happy camper. I've got more LUX's than I have hands... Ditto for P+'s.
at this point, anything else is just icing on the cake.

It's late, but I took apart the GP-SS switch tonight and it has me fascinated. This switch is so sensitive it's friggin awesome! :) Details to follow.

First of all, with the nut firmly screwed on (I mean trying to tighten with a screwdriver with forceps trying to hold the nut firmly), the post definitely protrudes above the nut. It is on as tight as it will go. No question. Perseas, I see what you mean about dremeling the nut so that it goes down a little further down the post.

The thing that fascinates me the most is that with the locking mech fully closed against the switch, I can set the GP-SS upright on a wooden table and it will not fire. If I set it on my mousepad... it fires fully as if I'm pushing down the button with my pinky!

If I set it down on a piece of paper sitting on my table, no fire.

If I set it down on a fresh piece of paper towel.. guess what? Full fire! Vapor galore! People, that's how sensitive this switch is and it's also what makes it the best bottom button I've ever seen.

Yeah it might be a fraction of a millimeter off where it should be since my Lux doesn't fire when I sit it on a mousepad or paper towel, but it's cool. My fix is just keep the locking cap a quarter turn from closed and I'm good. Besides, most of the time the GP-SS is on its side anyway.

I am new to your product and website so not sure how your preorders and/or sales work. "The GP PAPS v2.5 SS Edition and LUX Edition will come also in a few days with spare switches and caps." from your website.

Does this mean the previous preorders are coming in? or that a new batch will be available for sale in a few days?

Basically I am wondering how long till GP Paps SS 2.5 or Lux 2.5 will be available?

Quorax is also saying fantastic things about the Atomo's button. He's got a few of the PAPS 2.5s himself, so if he's talking about the Atomo, I'm sure it's fantastic.

This is what qorax has said about the Atomo that has resonated with me:

Yep. The Atomo looks nice, vapes well... but is NOT SAFE.

No preorders. A few days prior to the sale, Perseas will post to this thread, here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=407053 and on the Vapourart website; the time and date of the next sale.

You can also try Domo Vapor Co. https://domovaporco.com/ both versions are currently in stock.

Damn, if you end up replacing the button, I'll buy this button from you. That is awesome.

After reading this, I spent a few minutes making the Lux fire when placed on a rough place mat, and every time it fired, I giggled a bit like the brain damaged idiot I am.

Ok guys update on my switches. I disassembled the switches on both my GP-SS and GP-Lux. Remarkably easy to do with some forceps if you just remember to turn in the correct direction. Tip: if it doesn't start coming off immediately you're turning the wrong way.

I found a bunch of previously spilt juice in the internals of both switches between the locking mechanism and the switch body. I easily cleaned it off with water and then with some ispropyl alcohol for good measure. Then I put them back together. Clean and firing beautifully!

Now I'm left with a problem. The GP-SS will fire when I set it down on an uneven surface. If I put it on a wooden desk, it's fine. If I set a paper towel on the desk and set the GP-SS on top of it, it fires! Wow that's strange. The GP-Lux set down on the paper towel doesn't fire.

I'm not sure how to increase the recess on the button. The nut on the top of the switch, with the concave facing down, doesn't want to travel at all after being attached.

Not sure if you can make it out in this pic but the button protrudes a bit from the switch where on my Lux switch, it's a bit recessed.

All four of my 2.5 buttons function perfectly, but I even had to remove the felt pads from my stands, or they would sometimes fire. So I think this may be normal for what IMO is the perfect bottom button. It's almost a touch button, not sure I would mod this out.
