I just received my Paps 2.1 and the switch and contacts are definitely not plated. I was under the impression that I would receive the plated contacts? Perseas can you clarify.

The GP PAPS v2.1 has brass contacts and SS 304 tubes. Optional replacement kit from the LUX edition is available from yesterday at our store.
The upcoming GP PAPS LUX will have 24k gold over silver plated brass contacts and button and hard copper alloy tubes.
The upcoming GP PAPS X will have ... later for this one :)

Perseas,
Was there an issue with PayPal this morning? Woke up at 130 am (live in florida)to get paps mod and 650 tube. Had them in cart proceeded to checkout. So excited I almost crapped my pants at about this time. Only to have my dreams crushed When the Paypal payment would not go through? After trying a dozen times I gave up crawled back to my bed room and cried myself to sleep.
Would like to now if my numb scull did something wrong so I don't have to experience this loss again when the next release comes around.
Thanks!

same thing happened to me sev? I was trying to get one for my freind who had to0 be asleep... not sure what happened, but i've purchased a bunch of stuff from perseas before and never had this problem, It just kept loading at the paypal screen after i hit the pay button, and i did try letting it load for a while but after like 5 mins of that i thought something was wrong so i closed chrome, opened up ie and went to the site, added to cart and tried again, loading again... like forever, I tried both browsers a couple times but had the same issue with paypal on both, so i grabbed one of our other computers, started it up and tried chrome again on the laptop but by then they were gone... never had this happen before  im just hoping there will be another batch of 2.1's so my buddy can get one. i feel like i let her down

EDIT: you know what now that ive had my coffee i remember, the same thing happened to me on a couple bully tip sales, the first synthesis sale and the sale for the mayan le (which I was really bummed about as it was the only le ihy i really ever wanted b/c 12/21 is my bday and turqoise is my favorite color) i think it may have something to do with antivirus software or maybe pop-up/ad-blocker apps which I have, but its strange b/c I have used chrome before many times to purchase stuff with paypal.... i guess its only the important times it decides to screw me over  .....

...but I've always been able to get it to work after switching to IE, so, not sure what happened this time.... but either way, its either the fault of paypal or some apps or something, the whole process on vapourart went totally smoothly like always and the problem didnt start untill I got to paypal.

It's here! Took 3 days...from BULGARIA! I can't even get something shipped this fast ordering from my own state!

Wish I had more time to write more, but there's a Caps game I have to get to!!

Quick question...I can see this button becoming aggravating. Anyone have a suggestion for not un-screwing the entire bottom cap when you're unlocking the button?

Welcome to the club!

Don't torque it down during engagement/disengagement and you won't have that problem anymore.

I received my DHL package early in the morning and I've been using my GP Paps all day with the 18650 tube. It's my first mechanical mod and I'm getting used to the bottom switch.

Shipping was amazingly fast - faster than the great majority of USPS first class packages. I guess that's good considering shipping was $20. I can't complain since I've seen other Greek modders only offer $33 UPS shipping.

I'm very happy with the look of the device. I think that in the right light it would look as beautiful as shown in the photos on VapourArt. I downloaded them and kept looking at them while waiting for delivery. This might be the start of a vaping porn collection.

The GP Paps with 18650 tube is surprisingly short - its shorter than my Bolt and Provari in 18490 configurations. My two new AW IMR 18650s should arrive tomorrow and I'm waiting for a shipping confirmation for the new pairs of 18350 and 18490 batteries that I bought today. I've only owned two used AW IMR 18650s and a pair of ICRs for the Bolt. With a new PV and different battery configurations and tube options I'm excited to change things up and also go stealth.

Just for the hell of it, I was able to put a GP Paps in my VapourArt cart during the sale of the last new batch (7 AM in the UK for our friends across the pond). It's nice to know that these are high quality and respected mods that are rarer than mechanicals pumped out of China, yet available to those who really want them.

I plan to stop spending money on gear and only buy juice for a few months since my new prize set me back a bit. I have to remind myself the cost was just a bit more than two cartons of cigarettes - maybe three weeks worth.

Thanks Perseas!

Same happened to me. Tried the entire checkout transaction twice before giving up and going to bed. What a drag.

More waiting.

You 2 guys and another one in Facebook, told me the same thing. I tested many times the last 2 hours via the Paypal test application and no issue of delay or bad gateway occurred. My programmer said that all the routines are ok, I cannot find why that happened ???

It is a matter of right tension between the battery and the top and bottom caps.
You have to tighten both caps so the lock - unlock function doesn't interfere with the bottom cap. I personally change battery from above, so I adjust the tension from the top cap by regulating the telescopic centre post, while the bottom cap is tightened once and then I leave it alone :)

We always use the principles of tension and pressure in designing our mods to avoid the use of extra pieces and keep the simplicity factor. The same happens to the GP Spheroid atomizer's interior. Any further modification in size or addition of another part, would result possibly in a loss of the internal pressure, resulting in leaking issues.

I'm sorry if these questions have been asked before, but I haven't been able to find any videos or posts that discuss how to completely assemble and disassemble the GP Paps:

1) How can I safely remove the insulator and center post from the top cap?

2) This is surely related to #1, but just to be sure, how do I raise the center post if I need to make better contact with an atomizer?

3) How can I safely remove the insulator from the switch?

1) Usually easily, but for asking that, I suspect that it has been screwed very tight.
Try with a small plier to unscrew it, if it is stack.

2) Please measure the center post, not the telescopic one and tell me its length.

3)With the help of a small screwdriver tilt its edges and it shall be out.

It was very tight - thanks!

There is no problem - I just wanted to know for future reference. I see now that it was screwed in all of the way and is as high as it will go. I don't anticipate any problems.

Got it - thanks!
