Anyone ever have trouble unscrewing the very bottom piece of their Spheriod? Seems like mine is JAMMED in there SUPER tight. I watched the videos on it, even bought a special tool for it (which only broke), and all I wound up doing was messing up the 510 threads and scratching the crap out of the tank. Now i've gotta try and file the threads back so it screws onto my ProVari..

Is there ever any reason to open this bottom part? Is there juice collecting in there that needs to be cleaned out? Is anyone else's IMPOSSIBLE to unscrew?

For really tight atomizers, I use self-adhesive bandage wrap to grip small parts. I buy mine from Zee medical but there are a lot of different options.

Good idea Armirite.
Also, If the Spheroid is assembled, as well as the PAPS before mating the two, the assembly of both just needs to be less than finger tight. This only happens to me occaisionally when I have the tube of the Spheroid tight on the base of the Spheroid base.
A very very thin coat bit of vasoline in the Spheroid threads(not on 510 connection) will also help a bit. Just press tip of thumb and apply pressure while unscrewing tube.
I will not use naolox on anything anymore. Too messy and goopy, Not worth it.

I have found that the dripping set up on the Spheroid is incredible.

I see Noalox as a band-aid for inferior machining. We obviously don't suffer from that problem.

I would like to see pictures of your dripping setup.

New in the house!

Color of both the tubes are a little off as the synthesis is brass and the lux tube is aluminium bronze, but will gold plate to solve this issue.

I gotta say, I love the old lock ring because it looks classic, like an old 50's Ferrari. I'm still hopeful to get my hands on a lux 350 tube, because I think it would really compliment that classic look after a good patina sets in. The new lock ring is the main reason I didn't jump on the 2.5, but now that I realize people are willing to swap their 2.1 switches, I'm regretting not buying one just for the tube.

Your not missing anything truth be told the old switch is better and has a better throw and feel to it..the only plus side to the 2.5 is that you could stand it up with out locking the switch....that's it!

From what perspective is better, from the moment the travel of the switch is shorter? I suppose the kinesthetic feeling is new to you. When I tested it, the first hours I had the same impression, to try to push hard, but there is no need for that. As an internal design the changes are zero, so it hits as the previous one.

I've got both, and to be honest, I prefer the new one, the fact I can swap out springs is a plus, the switch is a softer touch but its not to bad,

got my lux yesterday... serial 0249 which was sad, but i'm nitpicking.

pretty hilarious yesterday, i screwed on everything without knowing how to set it up and nothing worked. I spent like 15 minutes fuddling around.

this is truly a beauty. understated elegance. so glad I got the lux as my first paps. one quick question, the throw on the switch was something I didn't expect, there isn't much. Is that how it was designed? Wanted to make sure.

Also, what the hell is that included spring used for?

Congrats your first Paps! It's been my main carry since I bought my first back in February.

The spring is hidden inside the bottom button. If you unscrew the nut from the firing pin (again, reverse threaded) and disassemble the button, you'll see the spring.

Yes, I believe the short-throw is working as intended. I think it's much easier to design a device that has a long-throw button because accuracy is not required. GP has trimmed the fat and delivered a svelte mod for their fans.

Amirite, thank you :)

The extra spring is a spare spring we decided to put from now on, because the installed one is somehow invisible and tends to disappear, during the disassembling of the switch for cleaning purposes.

The short travel of the button is an intended characteristic and technically a challenge, we have an obsession with the minimal design.
Actually the mod works just by holding it in your hand and placing the side of your fingers on the button, grab it and vape :D

'Semi-automatic' firing... love it :)
