Perseas, is the SnP 23mm essentially the same SnP 22mm with additional top & bottom caps over it?

You can put it that way. I don't say that is the exactly the same, because the top cap's holes with the holes of the cover ring of its size are made together and the holes of the optional set of 2 sizes rings with the top cap are made together too. There is no way to measure the start of the threading and produce just caps and rings, then mixing them as we wish. Their holes have to fit, so they are made as pairs or trio.

The GP Fork is so simple that we forgot it, we're telling to ourselves that everybody can find cir clip pliers or a pair of scissors easily, but the feedback was telling a different story.

....that would mean the glass tube is exactly the same for both versions.
perseas, the caps will also be available with a matte surface for anti-fingerprint or only shiny editions?!

The fused quartz tubes and the bottom caps are the same.
The sides of the cover rings have brushed finish and their horizontal surfaces have polished finish.

Should be the same as vapourart shipped. Give or take a few bucks depending on domestic shipping and if you used dwolla. That's from the the supplier posted elsewhere.

I'd do local pickup but I'd have to start driving now.

It is suppossed to have a bit of play as it allows the user to lock and unlock the switch with a flick or two of a finger. I obviously do not use the lock as much with the new 2.5 switch. I try and remember to use it as when I switch to my out of the home PAP's I use the older switches and need to remember to lock them as well.
