Not even having a Spheroid ( but having been interested for a long time) that is the best analogy Ive seen so far. Logically the foam is holding the juice above and gravity is "dripping" juice onto your wick. I can see the only thing is finding that perfect balance of how much filler is needed in comparison to how viscous your juice is. Full VG less material, thin / high ratio PG more material. I had a Steam Machine which is very similar to the Spheroid in design and once I found that ratio it was great. I sold it because its shape was just too long, wand like and the finish on the atty , though beautiful , mirror shined, it got tarnished and no matter how much I wiped it, or even tried Cape Cod, it had juice and finger marks that never went away.

I hope someday to get a brushed Spheroid for my little 350 device. Im using Penelopes on it, like them but not " in love" like I am with my Odys.

The filler material is really great stuff. It was designed for aquariums and believe me if you have ever kept fish, that material is "safe" and rugged. Fish are extremely delicate, water is their life and if something is minusculy(?) toxic they will die.
I can see how you would not need to replace it, just rinse once in a while or have different pieces for different flavours.

Very good design, I can see how for those hard core drippers can have a happy alternative that can be pocket friendly and where one does not need to be a slave to dripping and dripping etc.

Not only gravity is dripping your juice on the wicks, but when you take a draw the juice gets pulled to your wicks. You can vape upside down, laying in bed, etc. It's like a leak proof dripper :D

Hey all, hope everyone is well. I couldn't be happier, as I just secured a SS Paps V3 and 18650 tube on CaliVapers! So many times I hovered the sales forum, only to be just a few minutes late on PMing the seller. Today was finally my day and the person in front of me backed out and the seller messaged me immediately. Very happy my Zenith V2 will have a home atop my Paps V3 when they both get here shortly.

I was also absolutely blown away when I saw the performance of the Paps V3 on the extensive voltage and amp loss test over on CaliVapers. The tests show a very minimal loss that will provide an extremely satisfying vape to be sure.Just for the heck of it, here is a picture of my daily setup which includes the Paps X and Quasar RDA. My absolute favorite vape. :vapor::vapor::vapor::vapor:

Great answer Path. I feel this way about monthly drawings/giveaways in general. It creates a cheap feeling to me. They also can quickly generate animosity and a favoritism feel between forums as well.
I think it is fantastic tool for the builder in cases such as the Heron was given away. But, there are many forums that we have a GP section with many of the same members and all it takes is one of them to say "Hey King P can we also have a giveaway?" Before you know it FunkMaster P feels obligated to manage them. And I know for a fact, there is no time.
GP and Perseas does an incredible amount more than any builder, high end and non high end, for all of us through his service and passion and to expect any more just doesn't feel right.

Sorry, just saw this post now. Using our FB GP Family group might be a solution to the forum favoritism issue. There are 143 members as of now coming from all different countries and original forums.

what is the best way to get a stuck 2.5 switch loose again? it can't be turned to lock/unlock - I don't want to force it by use of pliers or doing something bad to that beauty

Wrap a scotch tape around the switch base and the tube to stick them together, put a rubber band around the locking ring for a better grip, knock it lightly on a wooden surface to help it move (and for luck :) ) and then you'll be able to turn it.

I know that it sounds like a ritual, but it is harmless for the vaper and the mod :D

Got some Koh Gen Do cotton from Amazon Friday. Good stuff, easy to cut a small piece and thread through a microcoil. Threads easier than cvs cotton does. It holds a lot of liquid and it doesn't add anything to the flavor. Seems like the clouds are bigger, to some that may matter. It also may last a little longer, normally I need to change wicks daily. When I took off the topcap to check my wick after a days use it was still clean and absorbent.

I found the same things as you. I normally can do a couple tanks of almost no flavour , lite peppermint and I can see gunk and taste is off when I was using Ekowool. WIth the Koh Gen Do , Im on the 5th refill and taste is really good, and I keep checking my coils and so far after the 4th, its very mild build up. Really wierd, but Im very happy with it.

In fact took a wick off another build and rinsed it and sort of squished it and used it again, no burn or singeing ? Weird huh ..... I do vape at just around 1.0, I imagine with much lower resistances some may experience different.

Good morning everyone :) I, too, am truly enjoying the Koh Gen Do cotton. I had one of my PAPS accidentally fire on me (from my own fault....forgot to lock it  ) & was very surprised when I went to change out the cotton, it wasn't burnt or anything....still looked great. If my yarn would have been in there, it would have definetly been burnt in half. It's nice to find something that works so well, just like finding GP & their wonderful mods! ;)

Great idea, I use a rubber glove instead of the tape to get the same result.

Do you recommend nolox or Vaseline on the threads of the lock ring for the V3? I never have experienced the lock ring issue on my V2.5 but have it happen weekly on my V3.

for the contest / giveaway

just make a list of all the names who have posted during the month in this thread, and run it on a random generator. No favouritism, no hanky-panky, peeps who are on this thread get recognized for being here. Simple.

Just a thought
