Yes, because there is a possibility to acquire a stolen mod without knowing it and in that case its serial number will be dropped from our data base and we won't support it.

Ahhh thanks P! Now to get in touch with the person I bought my SS Paps 2.5 from.
If they don't get in touch with you is there a way for new owners to provide info showing we purchased legitimately? Link to classy post? PP receipt?

Heres a pick of my home studio. Some of the basses have been sold but we are still making music:

Here is one of the tracks on the only EP I managed to get out:
https://soundcloud.com/billostech/charles-snoop

Which workstation you got there bill? I got myself a m audio axiom pro 61 and love it but I dont think I've come across anything in feel when it comes akai mpc 1000. Hiphop empires and fortunes have been made from the legendary mpc 1000. GOD I MISS MY MUSIC and good hiphop music period. And to br honest the type of music guys like jay z and puff daddy or whatever the hell he calls himself now is straight garbage. It should be labeled ad hip-pop. Jay z has bites so many of the late and great artist Notorious B.I.G its a shame. I remember several years back NAS and jay z were beefing it out and nas clowned on jay z so hard I kinda felt bad for him but is still funny to listen to this day.

Actually a few friends of mine and me make some hip hop fusion stuff. He has a Roland 8800. I've made quite a few beats on it. We have people who play bass or guitar come jam and make tunes. He also has an electronic drum kit, over the years of me being in bands I used to stay after and teach myself to play drums. I'm nothing special but can get around a bit. It's a great feeling to make original stuff from nothing. I'm very proud of a few tracks we have done over the years.

Thats a Roland G8. I do most of my producing in Logic Pro.
Hip hop kind of hit the scene way after my time. I am more old school. All types of music. Take Theodus Monk, Miles Davis, George Clinton, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison. I can go on and on.
Most of it is Standard anyways. Take the Nashville Numbering System of a 1-4-5 progression in A minor and you got most blues hits ever made. The guys you mentioned earlier found a way to appease the music execs and made a ton of money. But you take a guy like Prince who can put out a hit, playing every instrument on each track and you have to give props to talent.

I can relate. I just started playing at bass a little over 2 years ago. I answered an add on Craigslist to join a classic rock band. These guys had been playing together for over 30 years Their bass player died and I replaced him. Talking about being groomed by the elders. I learned a ton about music and playing as a team member.

Hmmm... I guess I missed the drama and the assclowns.

You just missed negativity. So you win brother. It was actually closed by the request of many. The comment was made by an HEM member last night that it was a thread opened by HEM(when in fact b0redagain was not at that point a member) and that was a big reason for closure. The issue has been around for a year now and there are 2 good friends of mine here that I stood tall for and will attest.
Dusty just PM'd me that it has been reopened by ECF for business as usual. So no big deal!

If it wasn't for real hip hop music I probably wouldn't have come to appreciate music by all those artist you mentioned, prince is the man. But those artist I mention don't make quality music and that's my beef with them and label it something it's not all in the name of making a profit. Cash, grass and ... is the message they project to the youth of today. Mindless dribble that is a waste of digital space. But gorgeous equipment you have there and those roland workstations are beastly.

I agree with most of. I happen to be a big fan of Jay Z and his Empire. Biggie was a phenomenon and few realize when labeling him as nothing but gangster rap.
NAS and Jay Z reconciled 10-11 years ago? in fact they performed together recently. The beef was hip hop media show. No one even knows how it started. Jay Z did his part as well in the (I say fake feud).
I was going to mention 2Pac. I was always mad because I thought he could do so much more than he did for music. Instead of being ...... off at the world and calling out his peers on many songs. I am way over that and think I have every track he ever recorded downloaded live or in the studio in my collection.
Funny, I love classic rock. Neil Young, Crosby Stills Nash, AC/DC, and on and on. Big fan of the Doors, Jimi Hendrix but I would be a happy man if I never heard a Beatles song again in my life for many reasons.
I am into Rehab now, huge. Such great music.
Music is a big part of my life as I am of the "Kill your TV" movement. Music motivated me for years serving, through school, and now. I owe Music.

WOOT!

Dear CJ,

CALIFORNIA VAPERS . . .
AB 1500 Is Still In Play
Need Phone Calls and Faxes

AB 1500 didn't have sufficient votes to move out of committee today, but the sponsor has asked that the matter be reconsidered. (The sponsor only requires 3 more votes.) He has until Friday to get it out of committee, and we have until Friday to reach members of the Assembly Appropriations Committee to convince them to oppose AB 1500 because it creates unnecessary hardship and expense for California consumers and businesses.

We need to generate phone calls and faxes to members of the committee between now and Friday. If the bill gets out of committee, it's quite possible it will get amended again to be even more burdensome. (AB 1500 started off as a ban on internet sales, after all.)

Please see the California Call to Action for contact information for members of the committee. Call/fax and let them know that while you support reasonable restrictions designed to protect under-age access, AB 1500 isn't reasonable.

Third-party age verification at time of sales will provide sufficient protection for minors. Imposing an additional requirement of adult signature upon delivery isn't necessary and only serves to limit adult access to these life-saving products by driving up the cost of products and making it difficult for adults to obtain since being present for delivery isn't a viable option for most adults.

California Call to Action

Its funny that we are discussing music, a feel good topic for me, and subconsciously vaping on my Paps X 1.5. I swear this is the best mod I have ever owned. BTW Idaho, the first baseline I had to learn with the band was "Monterey" by Eric Burdon & The Animals. My fingers and mind was sore for a weak. LOL

I'm with you on the "Kill your TV" I almost never watch it just about the only thing I use my TV for are watching movies. Beatles are way way to over rated and the only member I liked out the group was John Lennon. Poor ....... got shot in the back. I really feel bad for Michael Jackson those and his children cause when I was young I loved him. And all those people who came out after his death and said that the allegations they made were untrue. But non the less he will always be the king of pop and no one will ever be crowned with that title other then him. But didn't know that jay z and nas squashed their beef. Still laugh pretty hard when I hear nas lyrics that he used on jay z those. All of it done to sell "records" but 2pac was a poet more then a rapper in my eyes and the whole entire industry would probably be alot different if him and biggie were still alive today. B iggie was more of hardcore hip hop. Snoop dog was the one who help to develop gangster rap. Me I started off listening to hardcore hip hop thru the pioneers who help bring it to the spot light which is the Wu-Tang Clan. I still listen to them tp this day but its funny when I hear their tracks it's like I have it programed in my head and know all the lyrics down to a T.
