Squape, Taifun GT and the #1 Heron if you squint your eyes!

Squape is what will be going on my X once I decide which to get. I've got three now and honestly I prefer them over the kayfun and Russian. I'm sure I'll pick up their new one when it is out to put on one of my 2.5's. I've never tried the Taifun.

I'm curious to see how the lux X looks with patina before I decide which X to purchase. I do love my lux's. I've only got three SS paps tubes left, a 2.5 with 650 and 350 tubes and a v3 500. The four lux's see most of my attention.

The V3 with 650 lux tube and Heron are with me at all times. I picked up the heron adapter(thanks P for throwing the new GPin for the heron with the SS contact!) thinking I'd use it on a Provari or Vaporshark but it didn't even last a tank off of its lux home.

Well, took the plunge and set out on my first GP Expedition......into the dark, mystery that is the G-pin and the wonder of the GP button. I was prepared for the possibility of getting lost in the caverns and spirals of the springs.

I was a bit nervous but found it a very easy traverse. Eveything was easy to take apart ..... Im glad I did it as The Odysseus is a 510 air input atty. There was a lot of condensation on the inner workings that the occasional wipe with a q-tip would not be sufficient.

Now my next question ....... Im sure after a month or so of use, how does one clean any oxidation from the brass bits and the silver plated bottom contact. Also those lovely springs, how do you clean those with out getting them out of shape or harming the coatings?

Warm soapy water and a soft tooth brush for the springs and all of the parts actually :). I wipe the silver contacts down with a bit of alcohol on a cloth that I keep next to me. You will find the silver needs much less cleaning than brass. The silver will actually conduct through the little oxidation that it creates, a benefit of silver contacts. Any polish, sharkhide (a first class product behind Autosol), cape cod cloths, even brasso just on the pin is fine. I tend to avoid Never Dull.
Your a smart girl and been doin' this a while, you will get your routine down.

Thank goodness, I thought it was grilled varmint.

I love grilled corn and we've been making it almost every time we've grilled this season. I grill it with the husk on after soaking it for an hour and it turns out great.

Soak the husks in beer. Tasty stuff. Had a friend's brother in law teach me that one day.
