And in good health now? In the end, I found it's easier to "say" no way will I spend so much. But when the time comes, how can you not?

The vets advised against treatment for him. Initially, I chose to take him home and keep him comfortable, until.... Then, a couple of days later, he told me he wanted to live. I know, go ahead and call me crazy. The vets did. But, I'm telling you, it is true. So, we fought the cancer. He was 18, when I did it. Another reason, the vets had advised against it. After treatment, he became a kitten again. A new lease on life! He lived two additional years, with the vitality of a kitten. It was a wonderful two years!

I have a new spheroid that keeps shorting out on me and I cannot figure out why. I've rebuilt the coild and theres nothing touching anywhere and when I screw it on a mod it completely destroys the battery. I have no idea whats going on..... I can actually hear an odd noise in the base of the spheroid which is nothing Ive heard before.

Any suggestions? Ive tried the spheroid on a Bagua, Paps X, and Nemesis and all 3 have the same results. Its only a couple of weeks old and already gone through two 14500 and 2 AW 18500s

I cannot visibilty see anything wrong with the it but Im not sure how to take apart the base.

No I looked at that as well. It's literally brand new only had it two weeks and used it only a couple of times. It's my second spheroid and can't see anything different from my other one

Odd. I had a short the other day in my Heron when my coil touched one of the posts.

To take the base off , use a GP fork , or if you don't have one a pair of needle nose pliers. Use the two holes in your picture to insert either the fork or pliers. It is REVERSE threaded.

If you don't take your original one apart to clean you really should. I personally take my base off and clean it out really well at least once a week. It's easy for juice to get in there and get all gunky and gross.

I would guess this is the issue. The pin isn't protruding far enough out of the 510 and I'm guessing that the 510 threaded part is coming in to contact with the positive pin on your mod. I've seen a few people who have shorter pins like this. Just my 2 cents.

Here is mine as an example.

Damn dzd, sorry to hear. After you've checked to make sure your build isn't the problem, I guess the next thing that comes to my mind would be to open up the bottom and check the posts and insulators there.

Fair warning, just changed the thumb screws on my new Spheroid for the V3 screw kit; it took all my will to succeed + literally all the power of Greyskull to get the bottom of the Spheroid off (and yes I was aware of the reverse threading the whole time :) ). My GP Fork is almost useless now cause it's all bent, lol. Totally worth it though I love the phillips head screws. Makes the Spheroid flawless IMO.

I would maybe also try checking the screw lengths for the negative and positive posts. There could be a chance that one of the screws is a bit longer and possibly touching the bell.

Good evening everyone, just got back from the massage therapists. I now feel super relaxed, probably the most I have felt all year after the car accident last year. :2cool:

After taking it apart I actually think it's just the 510 pin being too short.

Everything else looks perfect and nothing is touching. When I screw it onto a mod the 510 connector is coming into contact with the positive pin on my mod.

Glad I figured this out before i destroyed all of my batteries. I seriously thought I was doing something wrong since the differences were not really noticeable to the eye (okay until I looked at the right thing)

I used 1600, then 1800, then 2000 I believe. It doesn't take a lot honestly. Then I used step 2 and 3 of the Novus plastic cleaner and polisher. Came out pretty sweet. You can also just interchange the pieces too.

That Novus stuff is great...are you surprised I use it too, Brother Woody?

If you think it's something to so with the pin (which I do) I would email vapourart and it'll get sorted.

Maybe take both apart and compare the pins.

I had an issue with a shorter pin as well and within minutes I had a response from the vendor. Only an issue with two of my mods but I was encouraged to send it in for repair. The best customer service! Means a lot to me.
