VPNs are only good for certain things. But those things it's good for are important. Looking up a local pizza place is not one. :)

Exactly. According to the internet most of the electronics in my house are in LA , but I generally keep some stuff 'in Canada' for that very reason.

The diagram shows a GP Piccolo v3, while you have a GP Piccolo v3.1 that has no need for the 2 extra springs, because we have changed the insulator and the negative post.

Pull the locking square nut (2) out of the button and clean it well, before you assemble it, otherwise it won't work.

Thanks for the clarification on which version Perseas. I was being overly cautious maybe because of the size. But I had went ahead and tried driving it apart with a wooden chop stick after I posted the above... and it came apart quite easily. Cleaned everything up with ISO and fooled around with it for awhile. Looks like it has some burrs (from over-tightening I presume), but these old eyes are too tired right now after not being closed for a couple of days/nights to mess with it tonight. Got it working OK as long as I don't mess around with the switch too much - can turn off and back and it doesn't lock up if I do both gently. It also helped to install and tighten the switch base into the tube tight before installing the rest of the switch parts. Have a small rda on it right now (Spheroids are on the list for tomorrow)... sure makes for a fun tiny package. Will probably be my go to for my 3 wee hours of the night walks I do for exercise. No idea how long the 14500 batts will last, but I have 4 of them for starters. Looking forward to the next Piccolo version becoming available, and will probably try to pick up more older used ones as well.

If the need is there, what about spare parts for this one since they are not listed on the web site?

Thanks again....

Sorry to keep discussing it (since it doesn't really matter to me), but I misspoke earlier when I said that I got the time from the Vapourart website. Instead, I got it from the link in your post in the Notifications thread. That link shows Vapourday in local Athens time and has a countdown timer, but it does not convert to local time. I did the conversion by adding the remaining time to my local time (at the time) and it's very possible that I just got it wrong. Perhaps I just got too caught up in the euphoria of the coming Vapourday.
Somewhere in this thread i calculated there to be 27 hours in a day after trying to figure out time zones. Since then I stick with countdown timer and found this site Calculator: Add to or subtract from a date and time

Someone, please, what is the difference between the Paps V3 switch, which is available as a spare part, and the Paps Lux switch, which won't be available as a spare.

I believe that the v3 LUX button is aluminum bronze (versus brass) and the negative pin is silver plated (like the X's negative pin while the v3 SS version is just brass).

Thank you, Firestorm. I hope to get both the Lux and X Lux tomorrow, but I prefer 18650 batteries. So, I will also get a V3 switch and 18650 Lux tube, since the differences are minor (to me). Appreciate the help.

Better conductivity, I would think?
:)!

Probably, considering the silver plating versus brass only, but I don't think that will bother me much. Thanks for the information.

My Man Dan! Long time friend. You will find a bit difference in silver pin conductivity. The big difference is that Silver allows conduction through its own oxidation unlike other materials such as brass. You will find cleaning less often and very simple. Silver is one of the Nobel metals and truly amazing. Silver at normal temps is the best known conductor. Far better than Gold and copper. Gold may coat silver in certain applications to hinder corrosion.

So, lower maintenance with a lux then? ie, better and longer conductivity between cleanings?

Hmm... one question. On the VA website, the news update sounds like it says that holsters will come with new X, and v3 orders. Will we be able to purchase them separately?

I would like one but would prefer not to buy another new V3/X just to get the holster. ;-)

I don't think that right now the holster is available separately. If I am wrong someone will chime in to correct me.
Me thinks they will be available after the sale at some point.

So awesome Perseas, you need a sign up/pre order list for the bad ... holsters. They will look awesome with my ammo holsters at the range bro.
If I may, add Yankee to the list :)

Idaho, bro! I'm always here, just lurking usually. I love the silver contact on the X, but cleaning the brass isn't too bad. Nevr Dull has been a friend of mine for a long time since I'm retired Navy. Used it a lot back then.

Hoping to add a Lux, an X Lux, a Heron, Lux 18605 tube, and a V3 switch to my GP gear tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.
