Hey guys, I know I'm super late to the party but I've been doing a lot of research on the GP Paps X and I'm looking to get one. I just have a couple of questions. Hopefully you guys can help me out.

Someone told me that I can't so lower then .4-.5 with the V1.5 top cap (w/Gpin) because it has a spring. Is this true? And if that's true, would it be more wise to find a V1 top cap if I'm going to go lower than that?

Based on what I've read, Vapour Art only re-stocks on Vapour Day. How often does this happen?

Damn the more research I do about it, the more I want one! There are a couple of used ones I have a chance to grab right now, but I want to do my due diligence first.

Had a delivery text message from DHL to say my Vapour Day goodies would be with me today. I think they must be backed up from the bank holiday weekend though as nothing had arrived by 6pm. I've had to go away for a few days so could only really wait for DHL until 6pm.

I don't mind at all. It just means the thrilling anticipation and excitement will stay with me for a few extra days. Then on Friday I will be doubly pleased to be home when my delivery arrives.

I got my shipment today! What can I say that all of you don't already know?

As expected, the workmanship is perfect. Everything fits as it should and looks stunning! I'm so happy that I got these.

Oh, yes. The two mods that came with the holsters are pretty nice as well.

Pics in a couple of hours.

I've read some folks here go in the .3 ohm range with no issues. I've only been down to .5 ohm myself and my spring only collapsed because of a short.

Vapour Day can happen usually around once a month sometimes twice but with different things available. The X is usually available during then. You can also sign up on a wait list to be notified of availability at their US reseller domovapor.com

Hope this helps.

Where are the pictures, folks?

I've never been able to get descent pictures of my mods out of any of my current digital camera's (Cannon PS A495 10MP, Cannon PS S3 IS 6MP, Oly C-700UZ 2.1MP). I got better pictures out of my first digital, a Casio back in the mid 90's that didn't even have 1MP. It's too much trouble to drag out my 1980's Minolta 7000i film camera that I've got every lens/accessory for known to mankind, then get the film developed and made computer ready. Same with my two Mamiya Sekor 500TL's with their up to foot plus long lenses. Only other choice I have is the Kodak Bullet my dad carried to the Marshall Islands, Iwo Jima and Nagasaki... and I carried to Vietnam. It took great pictures if you could get them lined up right in the fold-up veiwfinder that is just a metal frame.
Do they even still make 127 roll film? ;)
Been trying to get by with the A495, but it just doesn't get it done, not even on my tripod that will hold up a tank. I have never liked the S3 IS, not from the day it finally became available and I bought it, and that just a few weeks before the last time I ever used it. The Oly Ultra Zoom is OK for the long shots, not the close up work. Don't have my copy stand anymore with the daylite lighting that worked so well with the SLR's either. Or a good place to even take pictures indoors. Long way of saying it's a RPITA to get pictures of my mods.

EDIT: On the plus side maybe I'm getting my first puffs of GVC. Only time will tell if/if not a winner for me.

Wow! One more arrived today! A group-buy thru an ECF buddy (who's also on this thread) ;)

Please let me know how the black finish holds up Q. I polished all of my R91s because I didn't like the grey media blasted finish, but the black and gold finishes look interesting.

My best mod pictures are taken from my iPhone.
