I've been looking for a nice 20x1 threaded dripper for my X lately, but here's the thing... Unlike most drippers, I prefer a single coil and a very small air hole, as I prefer a tighter draw and do not do lung inhales, so most of the 'popular' drippers don't work well for me. I have an Origen, which allows for a single 1.2mm airhole, but just want to try something a little different.

Saw this one over at Cloud 9 vaping in the UK, it's the luxe mods Hybrid Dripper. Anyone ever try this?

Luxe Mods Hybrid Dripper - Cloud 9 Vaping

I like the simplicity of the deck, and the subtleness of the design, and think it would look smart on the X.

Looks like a nice, no frills dripper. That is getting harder and harder to find. I too only drip only single coils, even though my nicer drippers are built for dual coil and beyond.

Welp. Impulse buy. Luxe Mods RDA and matching drip tip ordered from Cloud 9. I went with the 510 version, thinking that if I didn't end up liking it, it would be easier to sell or loan out with the 510. That, and I can try it on my non-GP mods.

The simple build deck, small air hole, and understated looks sold me on it. I think it's going to look very sleek on the X. Now we'll see how quick it gets all the way over to the Best Coast.

My first piece of British hardware. God Save the Queen.

Haha. You will like it. & the lavender tissue paper & the toffee :)
Always arrives within 24hrs here so you can be sure Lisa & Keith will send it quickly at their end anyway.

So, I built 2 different set ups in the Heron for a side by side comparison. Knowing very well that other juices will have a different outcome due to heat difference
On the left, I built a .06 x .01 ribbon micro coil on 1/16 jig @ 1.0 ohms with KGD cotton pads.
The right is a .30ga micro coil on 1/16 jig @ 1.6 with SnC cotton yarn.

Enjoying them both very much and I found them both to emit about the same vapor. Truly I enjoyed the 1.6 build more. I am sure it had everything to do with heat in the chamber. I like the idea of the coil heating at a slower pace and slowly cooking the juice to a flavor that I love. The higher ohms whether built with ribbon or standard seem to get more hot at a much faster pace not allowing me to enjoy all of the flavors up until I release the switch.
One last thing is I really like the SnC in the build as it is a much more sturdy and stands a little stronger.

OK, uneducated question time. Every place I've found that sells SnC or PnC has different terminology, confusing descriptions, brand names, etc. So I don't know which size/weight or whatever to buy to try.

Never had any trouble figuring out all the gauges of Kanthal, ribbon and SS mesh; sizes of silica, organic cotton balls, KDG. But yarns! I built my ex a traditional Navajo rug loom after she spent a month in Sedona being taught by Navajo ladies how to weave their rugs, and was with her when she bought natural yarns for them many times. But they didn't always require a specific size so I never paid much attention to yarn terminology beyond if they were natural/plant dyed or not and what animal, etc the yarn came from.

How about some leads to what exactly you folks buy and where please?

Thanks.

Rug on loom in this picture is a Two Grey Hills (I have an old one made by the Navajo's in my collection).

I was going to answer when I realized that I don't know the specs for my Peaches 'n Cream. I'll post again from home (where I think I still have the packaging) if no one comments. I just bought the standard, uncolored one from the local Walmart.

AFAIK, SnC and PnC are exactly the same thing. I read once that they were once one company and marketed to different locations as SnC vs PnC but I don't know the absolute truth of the statement. I just know that SnC and PnC are synonymous.

Thanks cliffy. There are brand names that use SnC (like Lily), others that use PnC (like Simply Cotton)... so those I wouldn't think would be the same company unless they get them relabled as their own by the same company?

Spydro, I have an entire roll & would be happy to send you a few feet of it. It will take me about 200 years to go through it all. Just PM your addy & I'll send if out tomorrow!

Purchased from michael's for $1.50.

Ahh, we postred at the same time. Thanks for the offer.

I buy this from Walmart - I get the white that I've read they use hydrogen peroxide to whiten:

I don't see any other specs that pertain to thickness or type other than 4-ply. I boil it in distilled water for 20 mins.

Hi Perseas,

FWIW, I don't know how important the production of VapourArt holsters is to you, as far as priority, but having tried the single with my Paps v3 - and liking it - I'd like to offer my personal suggestions.

Construction is GREAT. 1000 denier Cordura is solid (if heavyweight) and I have several pouches, holsters, and packs built from the stuff. The only thing I would change is the belt loop. I'm not the biggest fan of a loop that I have to remove my belt to use. And since I generally use 1 - 1.5" belts actual use of the holster and removing/replacing of my Paps tends involves a lot of movement - although I bet it would be awesome on my 2" pistol belt.

I'd like to see something that can be put on without removing the belt, like a clip of some sort or a loop closed with a snap or hook and loop fastener. The hook and loop fastener would also have the additional benefit of being somewhat adjustable for belt size. A clip would let me put it on things other than just my belt, as well.

If you really wanted to get fancy-schmancy, sewing some 1" webbing in the back would allow for a wide range of attachment methods... like clip/belt types, MOLLE, or A.L.I.C.E. clips, etc. =)

This is what I use as well! I've got tons and tons for < $2 although I'm pretty much been only using KGD for the past month or two?

edit: So I guess what I have is "white" and not "uncolored" =P

I have 2 rolls of this stuff (white), but have not used it as of yet (mostly just use regular organic cotton)....is it pretty much recommended to boil it? I know some boil their cotton & others don't, but I don't know about the P&C....

I honestly feel the KGD tastes much better than the yarn, but let me offer to send you some yarn, as I have a ton of it & don't really use it any more. :)

Thanks for all the input, and again the offer. I don't boil my organic cotton balls or KGD. They use hydrogen peroxide to whiten the cotton balls. I've used it for years orally, so it doesn't bother me at all to use them or the KGD without boiling. But I think I have heard everyone say they boil the cotton yarns. They may not be organic?
