Not the best photos, but now I'm officially a happy owner of a paps ss v3! Too bad I just got into mech, I feel I missed out a lot!

Yes, the provided longer pin is for the 18490 batteries, just unscrew the brass cap of the GPin, remove the short pin, put the other one inside, tighten the cap and that's it.

wow, this thread does move fast! lol...so here's the scenario:

Now, that pin on the left that the picker is pointing to is what I'm assuming I should remove the short pin from because the pin on the right is the extra that is longer. Now, the problem is I can't unscrew the short pin on the left to replace it with the longer pin on the right. I don't want to grab the threads on the left with something like channel locks or needle nose pliers and damage the threads or coating  , but that pin does push in. So I know it can move. However, a little guidance is needed just so I don't go astray. Can the pin shown on the left be unscrewed and replaced with the one on the right?

Trying to preserve the naturalism in our lives it is aged custom dried maple with a lifetime coating to preserve it. There will be no issue of swelling or worry about spillage with these stands as they are a breeze to clean. I am confident brofro will confirm my words.

I definitely concur:)

Here is an exploded view that should help. Unscrew the threaded part from the middle. ;)

Grip at the red marks and unscrew counter clockwise. Rubber bands will help if needed.

The ring holding that pin in is what screws off. It actually is what is holding the pin in if you look at the edge of the spare. Follow me?
See how the whole unit the pick is pointing at is threaded?

I had the same battery rattle issue with my paps v3 when I installed the 490 battery, but then I saw Perseas' post. You should be able to unscrew the short pin. What I did was I grabbed my dry microfiber cloth and used it to have traction on my grip. I have stubby fingers so it wasnt easy. I have no battery rattle now. Goodluck buddy! I discourage using any tool, but whatever works man. You can do it! :)
