BTW... where's a good online source for VTC5s? I know this has been asked before but I can't find the specific reference. I already checked out lighthound.com with no luck. I kinda like Stormy's, too, but the latest they carry are the VTC4s.

It does work well and I'm keeping one of my Herons setup this way for at least little while. My build may be somewhat restricting my airflow (with the afc wide open) but it's good because the tighter draw makes it easy to take normal mouth to lung hits. I think I could eke out a bit more flavor with more air though.

I think maybe I'm getting more used to the Odin dripper I've been toying with and it's throwing me off a little. I'm still not fond of all the motions I have to go through with dripping ... hence this build...

Maybe I should raise the coil a bit...

yeah, thats cool. make sure you dont have that afc ring on upside down. you probably already check that, but i only mention it just in case. One time i took mine off to do something and wasnt paying attention to how i put it back on. the draw was REALLY restrictive. After scratching my head for a little while, i stuck a small flat head in the opening just to make sure air was coming through. Nope. Screwdriver came to a dead stop. took it off and flipped it over and it has been smooth sailing every since. And that odin is really nice! Definitely one of my favs! Hope you get it worked out soon....

Normally I would tell people to steer clear of Ebay, but there's only one single Ebay Seller that I trust, and that's "genuinecells" (Stephen is the guy's name). I've dealt with him a few times now (bought VTCs 4+5 from him as well as some MNKEs), and have always been satisfied that the batteries I received were indeed authentic. I recently bought a few VTC5's from him, and we swapped emails back and forth. He is a really nice guy who cares deeply about providing only authentic batteries to his customers.

You can choose not to use Ebay if you want (I would NEVER buy AW's off of Ebay again), but I must say I do trust this guy....

I would like to note that I have finally chased down my first Spheroid!!! Whoohoo! I'm really excited about this. So now I will be able to talk, with confidence, about such things as fluff, coil builds and wicking material as related to the Spheroid.

Yay the spheroid is da bomb seriously! I always have my paps and spheroid on me!

That's 30ga @ 1.0. I now have moved to 28ga coils are closer and with rayon it wicks fine. I'm no coil master but, am enjoying the extra wraps with 28 and like the heating slower aspect.
Like you, I like fatter wicks through the cotton top...but only 2mm tops in length.

VTC's are a bit tough to find until Sony ramps production back up. They sure aren't fans of anyone using them for vaping as they have noted.

It's about 3AM and just got home from grocery shopping...grrr. Can you tell I hate grocery shopping? It was a zoo tonight, took me 2.5 hours door to door to door.

Speaking of builds for the Herons/Spheroid/Drippers... I just got some 26GA & 24GA Kanthal and am going to try some builds with them - both single and dual coil.

OMG, I ordered a 100 ml of GVC yesterday... talk about a budget buster for juice... over 80 bucks US shipped... I've never tried it but everyone in here glows about it... I sure hope it doesn't go like the Boba's... I couldn't stand that juice... So; should I be craving the GVC to arrive or am I just a dupe? lol. Input? Normally I vape GLV Deadly sin... and some DIY strawberry/cream trying to replicate Mother's Milk which I like very much as well. I can say that 10% flavoring in the DIY is TOO MUCH! lol. for my taste anyway...
