Not just the Heron brother. That Cotton stuff you gave me is the shiznit! I am utterly amazed at how nice that stuff is. Have no desire to use the Rayon anymore. Know anybody who could use 500' of it? lol

I think my box of KGD only has one pad missing out of it. The CC (mostly) and SnC samples that wildvet sent me is my go to's now days in the 4 Herons... the CC in almost everything else (although I still do use some organic cotton) and the silca and mesh have been retired for a long time.

I gave up on the CC and am back to KGD in everything. I was having to many throat issues with the CC. I've not had issues like that in a few years of vaping. Cough, phlegm...I could huck a loogie 112 ft against the wind . I felt like I was back on the Drum when I woke in the am.
I enjoyed the wicking and know many enjoy the cleanliness but, it's kind of nice to be back.
I also got tired of chasing the rayon down the topper hole in my Herons as the wick shrunk horribly.

Hi all! KDG is the bomb. I've got rayon up the .... here. Rayon gave me a scratchy throat. Almost like morning smokers fall out. Sit aside cough. I left you years ago.

This was my problem IdahoLANDHO. I tried CC in the Heron and try as I might, couldn't get it to wick consistently. Get that burnt taste after the CC shrunk in the coil and got too loose, shrinkage in the top and falling through. And yes, even the phlegm. I don't know where the phlegm was coming from, I wasn't burning the CC, maybe just more vape stuffs going in, who knows. I am truly digging the cotton again though.

I am still messing with the cc but making consistent wicks with the pads is so much easier!!

I haven't had the hucking/coughing issues, previously referred to with the CC, but I've found I just prefer the KGD more.

I'm still using S'nC in my Spheroid and it's been working quite well. Easy enough to change out but wonder what others are using in theirs. I guess in my mind to only other wick I would choose to use would be KGD so I guess it's not a question afterall. Nevermind.

Keep it at edge and no further. Even a smidge shorter. If you find it curling, trim a tad. You'll nail the length.
The tail I push down almost "mops up" my mistake over zealous fills when I try to squeeze an extra 1/16th of a ml in.

Great info! I've maybe been running mine just a hair too long then. One time while opening mine up to fill I found that my yarn got a little tangled with the fluff.

Hello ladies and gents. Just got my Heron and built it last night. Vapor is good but flavor seems a little thin, like there's not a lot of juice on the wick, if you know what I mean. I get the feeling that its wicking a little weak and it seems like its retaining a lot of liquid in the fluff. Currently using 18 x 60mm of GP fluff with 70VG/30PG juice. If I were to adjust, should I be using more or less fluff to improve wicking?

Just to complete the picture, I've got a 1.3 ohm microcoil on it, 29g on a 2mm bit. Using KGD, with the tail peeping out of the topper at 5mm, and I'm quite sure its not choking at the coil. Been wanting to try Idaho's suggestion of putting a second wick on top of the first but thought I should make sure i don't have an issue with fluff first.

I used less fluff. 45mm is what works for me. Make sure your take a thin tool and spin it back against itself to fluff up the fluff so its evenly distributed.

Agreeing with S, I use 45-50mm of fluff depending on mix . I also use KGD. The coiled wick slides nicely through the micro and the wick that protrudes the chamber top is fat and fluffy and cut to 2-4mm out of the topper after threaded.
I was using the extra wick mainly on the rayon as I found it shrunk in size not allowing a good enough juice transfer. Good luck friend.
