Probably because it was completely unnecessary and unwarranted? I led off with "nothing against GVC" and finished with "not saying Grant is like those mod suppliers" (who I was also careful not to name). All of this, in direct response to a question/post by someone else in the thread. I didn't slam Grant at all. Not once. I did, however, state my opinion. If that is too much for some people to handle, then that's on them.

(NOT directed at you, nisam... just a general statement) - A little less group-think and a bit more reading comprehension can do wonders to combat jumping to conclusions. A thread, on a public forum, where opinions are not welcome and people speaking their minds are "in the wrong forum" simply isn't a place for me.

I appreciate the great customer service from Perseas et al, and I will continue to support their business as a result of that (and the fantastic product). However, I will do so outside of this thread. Thanks again, Perseas!

My comment was intended as tongue in cheek, but what is in my head is not necessarily how it will appear on a page:oops:

It was not my intention to offend and I apologise unreservedly if this comes across as such. I have no claim over this thread, nor any say on what opinions others may hold or express here. I read this thread to learn more of GP and ways to improve builds on their equipment & generally enjoy reading what is posted here, by a group of decent people.

wow, it's pretty cool to see other users with the 2.5 tube and v3 components. I thought I was the only one  Looks like VapinBill, darksparkle13 and myself are all rocking the the AB 2.5 tube. I'm using the X Lux today. I'll breakout the X SS tomorrow. However, I did manage to get some SS in the mix with a little Paps 650. My three go to's for the day...happy holidays everyone! :toast:

Great picture.

I sent the scratched v2.5 SS 18350 tube I got from the Classifieds to Vapourart to be polished and re-laser etched. It will look like a v2.1 tube but will be 316SS (as opposed to 304SS). I hope to time its arrival with a v3 flat top cap and a new v3 switch. I plan to pair and cycle the new switch and top cap with my refurbished tube, a spare v3 LUX 18350 tube from the Classifieds, and a spare polished copper Anatolian 18350 tube. That's my master plan and these will be what I use for my daily carry.

Thx Firestorm! That's nice that you can send the tube to Vapourart for that. I was wondering could I do something similar because I saw a bead blasted Heron and tube on one of these threads, but that's so cool that they can bring it back to perfect condition. I got a scratch on one of my SS tubes and tried to fix it myself. Ugh, what a nightmare. Tried to use 2000 grit paper and 0.5 micron paper, which turned it into something else. :( Has a pretty nice polish tho. Kinda similar to what, I think it was Path, did with that X he received as a gift. And oh my, the v3 flat top cap. I plan to grab several. I would be amazed if those things don't sell out in an hour. It would be cool if Vapourart could send them both to you at the same time. Maybe they can send the tube and flat cap together all at once. Who knows, maybe your timing is perfect. ;) BTW, be sure to post some pics of that Lux 350 tube. Don't think I've seen one... I am curious to see one paired with a RDA...

I suggested that it would be great if they could time the shipping in the letter I included with my parcel. That is actually a part of my master plan. :)

Here's one of my favorite pictures, I posted it on the HIgh End Mechanicals thread a while ago and it includes the GP Paps v3 LUX 18350 in its stunning glory:

I posted this picture in the GP Part 2 thread a while ago - a v2.5 LUX 18500 tube with a v3 top cap and switch:

    Great companions indeed!
And yes ofcourse it is! Keeps me entertained in traffic!

Traffic? In KC? I was born and raise in a suburb of KC (which I understand is a really bad place now) and I don't remember traffic. But that was back when the Kansas City Athletics was the baseball team. That was a few years back.:D

    Where abouts?

And yes traffic.... I learned how to drive in dc so traffic was 75 miles an hour around the belt way. In kc it 20 miles an hour along 435.. And rubbering neckers out here drive me insane... There is a reason I don't have a conceal and carry... Construction literally on all the areas of 435 that I drive to and from work..
And I go thru the grandview triangle...ugh...

Independence, which I have been told is a really bad place now. We left in a covered wagon many years ago and I've never had the opportunity to go back.
