I guess I should take an Ody up to my x brother in laws machine shop and see if they can give it a try. THey have dozens of CNC's, lathes and machine tools. THey are not Greek, but mostly Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and Montenegrin. I also want to get a brushed X ring and see if they can give it a couple little grooves so I get a more flush look with a bit of air.

Yeah, I need to get me some Autosol.....Right now I have Cape Cod cloths as well as mother's metal polish which works great, but I hear that Autosol is just that much better....

I fell into the one stop shopping crapola and ordered some GP cleaning supplies from Amazon 9 days ago... and all I have to show for it so far is 3 emails saying this item was sent this day, these were sent his day and the rest this day. I haven't been down to my mailbox today, but none of it had shown up as of yesterday. Bought a Cape Cod Cloth Kit, Cape Cod Horsehair brush, microfiber cloths and bags, some more bits to use as coil forms. The last one is a hoot... I have untold number of huge drill index sets in storage - metric, wire size, and inch, but it's easier to just buy them than go find them. :)

Also, way back when Perseas mentioned this to use for the silver played bits. I haven't tried it yet personally but have been meaning to.

Ive been thinking of getting out my Moms ultrasonic cleaner , but I hesitate on the silver plated parts. I always heard and read that it can remove silver and gold plating. I think the first I heard of that was from a jeweler. Have any of you had the plated bits get un-plated/

I too am interested in the results with an ultrasonic cleaner. I was about to post that inquiry in a different thread, but it came up here, so I'll just let it float here for now. I don't think it should be a problem because I wouldn't be using it on a tube, just internal parts. However, I have to confess, I am scared as heck of using a dremel on a mod. I have some hair line scratches on my v3, and for the life of me I can't figure out where they came from, but I don't like them and I'm thinking about how to get rid of them.

Anyway, I actually use my v3 more than my X. Tbh, I like the switch on the v3 more. It has kind of a touch feel to it. Similar to a touch screen on a phone vs physical keys. I love the X, but I keep it on my desk at home. It just seems to take a little more effort to use the X switch to me. Lazy? yep!

Aww dang....well here's hoping that it shows up soon!! :) I actually haven't used my Cape Cod cloths as of yet....the Mother's metal polish seems to work excellent, so that's what I've been using....

Vent all you want! That's what Families are for. Well, good ones. :)

That's nuts! Hope you find a good close place to hide/vape. :)

I'll just vape out on the sidewalk even though it's frowned upon. The sidewalk isn't private property.

They will be taking away our out-of-the-way smoking area on the roof so we've got go somewhere.

I tend to hide out in tree lines, bushes...... Just stay out of the 10 feet perimeter and its fine..... I think even malls post that you not smoke within 5 feet of the door?

There is a 20' rule here for all doorwaysand air intakes. Smoking is banned in many state/city beaches and parks here as well. No strict vaping laws... YET.

I work in healthcare, we can't smoke or vape on property. If we want to, we are supposed to clock out (for lunch) and leave the property. As of this year, they also went so far as to not hire any one who smokes/vapes. They are giving nicotine tests to potential new hires.

Is that even legal? I know insurance providers do that based on actuarial calculations for premiums but can you restrict/deny employment based on nicotine usage? It's not a prohibited substance as far as I know.

If that's the case then the same should apply for caffeine. How many people will be left after that?

Tools.. storage.. That's funny. I moved here over two years ago. I have not yet decided where I want to live. So, almost everything I own is still packed in my trailers. I have great tools! I have bought quite a few tools/etc. over these last two years. It was easier than digging in the trailers. :)

Just going to leave this here....

Don't clean your GP gear too much. Unless it is juice leaks. I think some think about this far too hard.
Soft tooth brush, warm water, mild dw soap.
I would bet most of the silver in this family is far from tarnishing. When your changing out your batts feel free to OCCASIONALLY dampen a cloth with Alcohol and wipe down contacts.
Cape Cod and Autosol, Mothers works too.
I hate Never Dull. Cheap a ss crap.

I have a UC...love it......mostly for steeping juices :). I use it not very often to clean stuff mostly small gun parts and a few contacts or to get the initial oil off devices.

Just saying, I dont think each week we need a full breakdown....maybe if you chain vape and have only one mod.

Enjoy your GP :)

Well if things go well with my exam and what not, I may be looking for a place in DE. So maybe we can split a place? Lol.

Don't know if it's legal or not, I assume no one has challenged it. Anyone who is currently employed who is addicted to nicotine can stay no problem, but it's sad that we would turn people away from work because they smoke or vape.
