My first GVC was just delivered! I don't know, how some of you knew when your GVC would arrive. I had no tracking, after it hit New York. I forgot how small a 100 ml bottle is. I normally get 500 ml bottles. I have to decide if I am going to dedicate a KFL, or drag out a dripper. My coils are lower ohms, so I guess I need to wrap a coil. I meant to have one ready and waiting. But....

I hope everyone is having a great day! :)

My tracking also never updated. It just showed up yesterday. :) Unfortunately, I only received half of what I paid for. Ordered 2 100ml bottles but only received 1. :( Sent an email to Grant, so we will see... Just hoping he doesn't refund me; I need the other bottle, lol.

Hi Cucco, sorry to hear about your hands. I think you are one of the few people that can understand "the bad hands" thing. Most people, especially family just dont understand. Just because I can do things, doesnt mean that the pain is not agonizing sometimes.

I am blessed. Mine don't hurt. Sometimes, they just don't work so good. Being a person who had to learn to walk and talk again, it's all good! :)

I wish yours didn't hurt. :(

i dont know...i have a new atty that was built up and waiting for a ss v3 and i decided to go ahead and drip some gvc. i just dripped it at .26 ohms on dual coils and it seemed fine to me. i'm not a Sommelier or anything like that, but i might just drip it (not on .26 ohms tho). i might lift the resistance to high .40 - .50ish. Could just be my imagination, but maybe beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. :)

That's a description of an ingenious artist that needs to brainstorm in silence, to unfold himself without distractions, not a condition in my opinion. Our daily life is full of distractions and we need moments of solitude, if we want to accelerate our thoughts or to contemplate about our current state of being. I find it absolutely natural, maybe I am a Manic Depressive too. Never mind, I am in good hands here in the Asylum :D

My Hubby #1 had an extremely difficult life. An unloved/homeless child, inherited mental health issues, three tours of Vietnam, etc.. Regardless, somehow, he managed to hold onto some of that 'inner child'. My love and admiration for him was endless. He spent many years, trying to assist me in finding mine. :)

creative.jpg BTW: I love how you write! Gifted!

Well, I'm using 26g kanthol and the screws aren't too high. I'm not sure about .25mm kanthol, but I saw somewhere that it is equivalent to 30g, so it doesn't sound thick enough to push those screws up and cause a short. However, when I was first setting my heron up it drove me nuts for a little while. I took a look at a pictorial in the main section and it helped me a lot. You can make adjustments to your preference of course, but the point is I thought it was a great starting point. Maybe you will too... :)

Yes, interesting. Very well put together too...
I've done several more builds and still getting that short - somewhere.
I've settled on my standard Spheroid build for today - silica without that topper.
Still not as good as my Spheroid - but not burning a hole in my hand, which is good...
I'll revisit this issue again after Germany have finished dismantling Brazil in tonight's semi...

And, resolved. :) Another bottle on the way. Quality guy Grant is.

Edit: Grant just sent another email thanking me for my understanding. He also added that if I see "Staff shot in factory" on the news, not to be too alarmed, lol. Funny dude!!

What's going on with my Heron?
Just got my first Heron - after using the fantastic Spheroid for a few months, I thought this'll be pretty straightforward. Well, a couple of issues...
Firstly I can't get a micro-coil with cotton (and the topper) to work at all. Must be getting massive short somewhere as the whole kit gets too hot.

The screws and the coil must not touch the interior of the topper. I had a case where the deck ring wasn't right. If the issue persists, make a flat resistance without coil and ensure that the screws are flush with the posts, and check again. If you have again short, send us an email with photos to fix it.

Secondly using the 510 adapter. I have it working, but cannot adjust the air flow ring! I'm assuming the 510 base has to be screwed on pretty tight - and then the positive pin screwed in to its approximate position? But because the base is fitted tight - the air flow ring will not move!

The AFC ring's position is stabilised from the 510 adapter by design. The same happens when the Heron is screwed into the Paps tubes. You have to unscrew the Heron by half a turn, from the 510 adapter or the tube in order to turn the AFC ring. We designed in that way, because most people have a constant draw preference, while a loose AFC ring would be quite annoying.

Oh - third problem. Lots of gurgling when taking a pull... Giving it a quick upside-down shake clears the mouthpiece (and whatever might have condensed in the tube of the bell), but a couple of minutes later it's gurgling again...
Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong on any of the above would be well received...
Note: The Spheroid is still soldiering on. So it Heron vs. me issue. Right now, the Heron has me flummoxed...

This happens mostly due to more or less fluff than is required. Too thin and it can't hold the juice, too condensed and floods after a while, so spread it evenly to have a uniform density with a needle or the fork. Try with a strip of fluff with 2-2,5" length and 0,6" height. Your cotton edges have to be short and be sure the fluff is touching the inner walls of the tube without any gaps.

Another child left in a hot car. Another case of common sense gone wrong. Every week there are warnings about not leaving children in hot cars. I don know what's worse. That over 40 kids die each year in this fashion. Or act that we actually NEED this reminder.

Even the most smart person, if it is distracted on a daily basis by trivial things for enough time, he may commit grave errors of judgement. I recall a graffiti I saw in a school's wall, a while ago: we're continuously forgetting to live it cannot be translated exactly, in my language it's only 4 words.
Ὅλο ξεχνάμε να ζήσουμε, Ὅλο can be interpreted here as something that happens each and all time, referring to a repetitive circle of events. Every time we forget to live, something like that. It was written by 14 tears old boys, such a pressure ...

I whole heartedly agree. And when the mistake happens those parents have enough guilt to live with.
Two weeks ago there was major widespread backlash because the police here charged a father. Come to find out both father and mother researched how long it takes in a car.
There are mistakes and there is carelessness. Unfortunately.

I'll try this tomorrow...

Yup - that makes sense...

Yes - I did go through this learning curve with the Spheroid. I've long ago cured that particular problem, but still making adjustments to the Heron. I have no gaps on the wall of the tank and spread the fluff as evenly as I can with a small screw driver. I'm now up to 2.5" of fluff and still getting gurgling. I'll revisit this again tomorrow...
