About idiots - Part 2 of 3:
Based on the above it is easy to observe the irresistible attraction the idiots have for gregarious appearances. Social parties, visibility from the media, honours, titles, “Diploma” and any kind of decorations. And here arises a big question: Where is given the possibility for the idiotic herd to act effectively?
Firstly, most ordained idiots occupy subordinate positions. But they are completely toxic for the society as a living organism, because in practice the current society is made up from the lower ranks. Persons belonging to the higher levels depend on lower ones and in some cases this dependence takes forms of pure blackmail. For example, an employee can promote or bury a case to a service. Or cover a murder in a police station, where the lower faces of the hierarchy are united with him.
Secondly, the 'cliques' can encourage their members to higher levels. And show off themselves by hampering opposing actions, for deserving and competent contenders. Thus, the idiots multiply and the idiocracy prevails. The coming of a fool, a myriad arrives. For he is an idiot, if reached, will promote persons only inferior to himself.
The idiots are classified into three large subgroups or variants. The first variant includes idiots and incompetents who act one by one, let's call them solo idiots. They occupy positions where their failure is at least tolerable if not advantageous. Many times these people occupy positions in which serious working man would never condescend to deal with. But sometimes they can be placed at important parts of a government or even become presidents. Their offices are interspersed with distinctions, decorations, receptions. One specific skill is required: a complete lack of personality. This manifests itself with an absence of opinion on any matter, in fear of conflict and disagreement. Also, a taciturn dullness, which can be seen as a profundity or severity, but in fact is simply due only to the absolute lack of spirit. In short, this type of idiots are consequential and divided into two groups: Those who 'shop' their beliefs, the shoppers and those who are snobs.
The shoppers are acknowledged by their facial expression, which contains an animalistic craftiness. The intelligence of such a person involves the ability to conceal with great care his own cleverness. So he avoids talking and merely listens the words of others, he even comes with a nice smile. He avoids answering, because he is certainly not so 'idiot' to be exposed. Firstly, he considers every human a stalking enemy. A threatening one who grabs to expose, whatever any event escapes accidentally. That is why this idiot is very careful, all the time. He views everyone who expresses opinions as decidedly 'idiot'. He takes care to hide carefully his own intelligence behind a condescending smile. For intellectuals, and especially for those who are struggling, he nourishes boundless contempt. And treat them with cautious confidence, modest condescension and superiority.
The snobs constitute a real social scourge. They, for the most part, speak very complicated and at excessive pomposity for small things, obvious and self-evident. Which they present as great, obscure and important. Even embellish their actions with a pompous style of a protective attitude, which seeks to conquer the sympathy of the world. But, in fact is only intended to devalue others.
The second variant includes the so-called golden mediocrities let's call them the ducks. Through a rudimentary intelligence they decided to pretend they are idiots and act like a duck. They pretend, while living among complete idiots. If their rudimentary intelligence is revealed, their presence risks of becoming unprofitably challenging. This role is of course very exhausting. First of all, it's very difficult to hide any spiritual or psychic life. Or the inevitable reflections of any inferiority in its outer appearance. Thus, a rudimentary intelligence, without a special hypocritical talent, emits an aura of a man in self-defence or fight. And at worst an animal in panic. His conflicting feelings of repugnance and fear for their opposite. The determination to surpass him and the self rejection as a compromise policy. All these reveal his substantive inability to compete the “other”. Besides, the other is a genuine idiot, poor in spirit, flat feelings, and an acute instinct. This will annihilate any pretence and any real sincerity is perceived as hypocrisy.
The idiot has an over-developed instinctual suspicion. So, he is unable to recognise and comprehend syllogisms and calculations based on intelligence. For an idiot, the mechanism of the brainpower is strange and intellectually inaccessible. Opposed by a bright man's reasoning he feels unarmed and defenceless. Thus, a single defence exists, just like a wild animal or a primitive man: the instinctual suspicion. Suspicion's child is the cunningness. Both eventually operate contrary to the inherited intelligence. Despite the fact that evolutionary, intelligence is not something growing independently from instinct. But as an enrichment of instinct by logical means and exchange of deep connections with other people and nature.
Wickedness is the offensive side and the second stage of suspicion is wickedness in action. But when the action is primarily defensive, tends to create an animal intellectually puzzled. Who is instinctively panicky and extremely dangerous. The idiotic quality of his thoughts transforms the passive defence called suspicion into active defence and action against suspects ... Besides, inane reflections and conclusions come into practice as low level intellectual acts. Flattery, falsehood, intrigue, obscene offerings, spying, betrayals and everything else one could imagine. This positive and profitable utilisation of wickedness is called skilfulness. And here the amazing happens! The meanness and mental inferiority of flattery gives great power to the idiotic media. So much that idiots with this so-called skill, finally manage to achieve their purpose, being promoted and prevail.
This certainly raises a series of questions. What idiots' variant is the most dangerous for the society? One that commits everything mentioned above? Or another one that considers all these unscrupulous idiots as intelligent persons? In other words, who is more imbecile, the flatterer or the flattered? But anyway, the issue is certain. The so-called skilfulness is totally unrelated to the real intelligence. And an ingenious person has absolutely no need to use it. Since the intelligence undoubtedly gives him the opportunity to fight and prevail with his own value. The fact that the means of cunningness are more easily obtained is not disputed. The flattered who believed in the sincerity of the idiot cannot be disputed too. Is it possible to doubt that, if the flattered person is a simpleton, then an idiot will be necessarily the one who convinces him? Alas ... Nobody clever managed to converse with an idiot. No agreement has ever reached between heterogeneous brains. Two heads to agree should be equal or equally empty or full. Classical is the failure of the bright man who occasionally attempts to enter in the world of idiots. And alas ... When idiots become powerful rulers of high office, tragic is the fate of the unsuccessful intelligent persons. Tragic to the point of driving the unlucky ones to despair and sometimes to the end of their careers and even their lives. In contrast, not a single cloud ever disturbed the bliss of those homogeneous idiots. Those who consider the bright ones as indisputably idiots.
To be continued.
