So, for some odd reason my hands were not so bad this evening. I got this "itch". Decided to do a youtube search for how to brush your own mods etc. Found a few on those that use Scotchbrite pads. Watched a few and got up my courage and dove in.
I was nervous at first but was shocked how easy and how good it looked. I like the Odysseus in a brushed finish..... I might do another one :)

Here is my first attempt, it not a exact match, but I feel pretty proud.

That looks awesome! I've been thinking of doing the same -- I did a similar brushed finish on a couple of pieces that came out pretty close to GP's, not perfect, but close enough that they don't look too odd together.

I never thought about media blasted items, will that brush off? I just got another "itch" I used the Scotch brites that have a sponge on the other side. I figured the extra cushion would be good around tighter angles.

Yes, it can be done but I usually sand/buff a bit first to level out the surface -- I'll PM you some pix of what someone did to a satin mod I sold him.

Hi Todai, that looks beautiful, what dripper is that?

As Strike said, it's the Luxe mods dripper (510 version). He also makes a 20x1 threaded version, which I have on the way from the UK.

You're likely to be hearing more about Luxe Mods soon, as Andy has now signed a deal with VapeRev to be the exclusive distributor in North America.

Anyway, back to GP talk: I will pass on a Ti Heron, but a v3 flat top cap would be nice - sort of - but not necessary at all.

Edit: Just catching up, didn't realize the request for a Ti Heron was a joke. It did seem silly, lol. I'd rather see a SS 23mm version to get rid of the X Converter, but again, not necessary.

I must confess that the only reason why I would buy a flat top cap is because the small grooves messes with my OCD. Especially since none of the atty I use on my V3 need the air channels. Lol [emoji14]

I have to agree on that one! It must sit a certain way on my finger or I have to make it fit!

Well we're back home but had a great day at Santa Monica beach and then the pier where we went on lots of rides.

And I'm definitely on the bench for a Ti Heron...No Joke. Even just the tank tube. If it were 23 mm hybrid to the TiX even better. Put me down for 2 or 3.

Someone caught a shark and she wanted to tough it. This girl is both princess and tomboy. No fear. Doesn't get grossed out.

Sedge, that little cutie of yours is pretty fearless. Most people freak out around big birds. Something about that huge beak that scares most people. My Macaws can break open Brazil nuts like they are peanuts.

I'm so envious that you are getting to spend so much time with your daughter. I was a single parent with a daughter and that time was so memorable. I miss those days even though it was rough working full time, going to school and trying to raise my baby girl the best I could. You will cherish these times forever.

I really do cherish every moment and am blessed that I do most of my work from home.

I have so much respect for single parents. I don't know how they do it. With both Janet and I at home every day we still need help from nannies so we can tend to household business.

I'm a divorce lawyer and being in the business just makes me humble and grateful for what I have.

They grow so darn fast. One day you're at the beach and the next.....
The day my youngest daughter flew out last year for her freshman year of college, I sat in my pasture alone and cried.
I often think how lucky D and I were then and now to have successfully raised our 3 best friends.

Divorce attorney.. I bet you do appreciate what you have.. I bet you see some nasty stuff..

I love and miss my attorney. When I had my stroke, he would email me all hours and holidays, just to say 'Howdy!'. He knew I was struggling, and grieving my Hubby. He still handles a few things for me at home, but I don't get to see him anymore. He and I, made one heck of a team a time or two. I hired one here, for a couple of things. But, I wasn't impressed....
