Haven't they seen numerous recent studies showing how nicotine has beneficial effects against ailments such as Alzheimers and dementia? Medical care professionals (I hate using the phrase "health care" since they provide medical services not health) are turning into such fascists.

I work in healthcare, we can't smoke or vape on property. If we want to, we are supposed to clock out (for lunch) and leave the property. As of this year, they also went so far as to not hire any one who smokes/vapes. They are giving nicotine tests to potential new hires.

420 will be legalized starting with the Colorado Legislature far before Vaping is legal in many places.
I found watching the appointed government oversight committee harping on the child overdosing cases of nicotine due to vaping interesting.

Seriously, it should be treated like any liquid poison or even prescriptions. If you have small children do not allow them access to your Pipes, Cigs, lighters, vape gear, juice, household cleaners, gasoline, sharp knives, firearms, poisons, rabid dogs, poisonous snakes, .50 cal mounted on your personal vehicle, deadly spider collection, fireworks, strippers, and anything else that may cause HARM to your beloved children.

Anyway, this was the clear answer but, the committee harped on the overdose cases as if it was the only thing dangerous in a household.

Argh. I work for a Blue Cross Blue Shield affiliate and they have officially banned all smoking, and e-cigarette use, on the property. I'm not surprised, nor do I really object BUT they also asked us to be good neighbors and not go to neighboring properties to smoke/vape.

I think it's terrible to tell us we can't do it "here" and please be nice and don't do it "around here" either. Grr. Sorry. Had to vent to someone.

I wish there were more GP people around here so I could mess around with an X before making a decision to buy one. I really do love my Paps v3, though.

I did hold a Paps X switch for a minute... but I had to send it back and it wasn't a full mod,anyway. =P

Oh wow! I also work in BCBS here in Jersey, so far they havent implemented anything against ecigs YET. I quit smoking last Jan and vaped since then, I still go to my car to vape though.

Nice! I work for BCBSA(Association) in downtown Chicago. We just have to follow the no smoking within 15ft from the door rule or off the buildings property.

I at first could vape in my office where I work, then they told me I couldn't. We got a new boss, and now I can vape in my office again.

I semi-stealth though to keep from being a distraction (people aren't used to seeing people "smoke" inside anymore), but there is still a fair amount of vapor being blown out lol.

I still take the occasional break to go outside and vape, but that's just because I like the fresh air lol.

I feel for you who have roadblocks for vaping when I live in a place where you can vape just about anyplace freely. All the years I smoked cigs/pipes in my working lifetime I could smoke freely at all of my jobs as well, both before I retired from the real jobs in '90 and at those I later tinkered with for something to do off and on until 2005. AFAIK you can still smoke freely at the last place I was the Project Manager of where a lot of the rich and famous of Vegas live. A computer MFG company I was the MfgE for back in the late 70's did create a smokers area in the cafeteria for the 3 lunch periods, about 1/4 of it on one side since many of the 480 employees smoked. That was kind of when the start of resitricting smoking in this country started I think. But we could freely smoke anyplace else in the huge 9 building facility anytime we wanted to (and that company was owned by a family with strong religeous beliefs against smoking/drinking). But that family was very employee driven too, provided high pay and benefits, a great work environment and did anything for their employee's - even a 4 day work week that was great.

Yeah I work as an Engineer for a medical devices company in the Boston Area. I'm pretty surprised that our company has not prohibited vaping inside the building. When I firs started vaping I was using cig-alikes and carto tanks, so the amount of vapor I was producing was not much. Because of that, I was able to vape at my desk. However, when I started rebuilding and using RDA's and the like, I could no longer vape at my desk due to the clouds I was producing in the office! haha... The girl I work next to HATES the smell of the vapor, so out of respect for her I stopped vaping at my desk.

Now, I go outside. One of my co-workers smokes about 3 packs a day, so I am constantly going out with him. He smokes 3-4 cigarettes back to back (gross!!), and I just vape along with him.....lol....I keep trying to sell him on vaping, but he loves his Pall Malls too much to give them up!

I used to vape at my desk. Id bring a peppermint chocolate DIY in and people would walk by thinking there were fresh baked brownies. Those that saw me called it my hookah pipe. Then last July came around and smoking became a no no on campus. And of course vaping is really smoking right?
Now my stealthy vape has nothing to do with brownies.

I "sneak" some in when I can't go out. Of course my boss' boss came in once and I yanked my microstick away hidden nicely in the palm of my hand.
Kinda sucked holding that vapor in and not being able to exhale it.

Haha exactly! When I first started vaping I would switch between cigarettes and cigalikes.....it wasn't until I got into mods that I gave up smoking altogether. For me it really has to be all or nothing...a buddy of mine that I got into vaping still sneaks cigarettes here and there. I am glad I don't do that anymore!

I envy the life experiences of people in this thread. I've been to 6 different countries, and I'm only 24...and I thought that was exciting, but you guys really make me feel boring lol.

I know plane crashes aren't exactly something I should wish for, but the experience...that's something not many can say. Especially not 4 times.

Get 5 Herons. That helps me get through not having a very interesting life.

Same here. BCBS of Michigan is my main customer and I can vape at my desk. Discreetly though.

I work at an Ethanol plant & have my own office out in the Maintenance building.....so I'm always vaping at my desk! I do refrain from doing it when the plant manager is wandering around, but 4 years of doing this & have never had a problem.

I vape in my office at work. I do it discreetly and I don't talk about - it's never come up with my boss and I don't intend it to. Some other employees vape (just cigalikes, egos, and clearomizers) and some do it openly and less discreetly inside, and I pray that they don't cause a ruckus and make it an issue. The small company that I work for was purchased by a large software company at the beginning of the year. There are probably rules against vaping, but nothing has come up yet. There is a smoking section outside to which I hope I don't get relegated. I had no qualms about going outside in the dead of winter to smoke a cigarette, but it's nice not to have to do that anymore.

I was married to two very special, unique, and eccentric men. Both are deceased. Some people never get to experience the real thing (head over heels .. rose colored glasses .. madly in love). I had it twice! I feel blessed.

Today, is the birthday of my first husband, Ellwood. My Ellwood was extremely intelligent, educated, incredibly talented, witty, and so much fun. What a gift he was!
