So some people have been going through the post history of Mr. Mechs In A Landfill. Turns out he never actually built a coil on a mech. Closest he's come is screwing clearos onto some fasttech clones. I'll have to go make some popcorn if it gets any more interesting.
Oh boy... sounds like an "on paper" kind of guy.

edit: I followed the link and read through about 8 pages (all there was at the time). There was some hilarity but it couldn't overpower the anxiety it caused.too much name-calling and drama for me.

I knew you wouldn't be able to resist the call of the stupid, yankee. I couldn't either.

Unfortunately, I think that's what he wants. Starved for the attention while he sits alone in front of his computer. Trying to start an argument on the internet . @ least you guys had some good comments.

Yeah. I felt recharged. But turned the hose on and just a little water piddled out.
I'm not entertaining a nobody who wants to debate the extinction of mech mods. I look around this thread and see people still eagerly awaiting the next vapourday. And it's not just here.
The OP had a boring day, his cable blew out due to weather, not paying the bill, there is likey no movie to rent or maybe he just woke up with a canker sore or drunk. Hell maybe he's vaping some funky stuff from his local B&M.
Either way, I have no dog in the race. It's not health related until your blood pressure rises.

That's awesome! Yeah Wildvet was nice enough to send some to me to try...I'm excited to give it a go! I am loving the KGD, but I've heard such good things about rayon....should be interesting! :)

JP I decided what you can send me in return...a burger from McMenamy's! :D I was thinking "he must live near that place, it's a small town" so I mapped your addy and sure enough!

I lived in Easton for 3 months before buying a home in Stoughton. I still have the house, along with a crap ton of stuff that went into storage when the place got rented. I am looking into flying out that way soon to finally get the stuff over into my current time zone. I'll probably stay with my friends in Canton, but if schedules allow we should meet up for a vape & a drink!

I would like to share a very quiet tip. By no means do I recommend anyone to do this unless you are well familiar with the limits of your skills and metal.
I have in the past used 2000 and higher grit wet sandpaper to lightly polish threads on metal tubed devices to help them mate. I had no need on the Ti as patience won this round for me.
It has to be done lightly and evenly. Never to the point of completely smoothing out the action of threading and unthreading. Let your threads do the last of the mating and breaking in.
Just a few light full and even revolutions on the inner tube threads and outside tube threads and wipe threads with a soft cloth of fresh spring water dampened virgin unicorn mane to clear the threads.

I've purchased beat to hell Spheroids that didn't thread correctly due to idiot damage. They needed a home, I lightly worked on the threads and they are perfect. They are old logo school Spheroids I will keep forever now.

I know this can help smooth the Ti threads if desperately needed. Just, be careful and attentive. With such a high grit it will be tough to go to far. The grit I am suggesting is a polishing grit I often use to finalize and polish my finishes.

I suspect King P may or may not cringe as he reads this public post. If this post disappears, bet that I am getting an earful and taking it like a champ! :)

Cheers

I am familiar with them. I won't try this, but thanks for the advise for others who might be capable of it. :)

Okay... so I'm on my third day of the cc trial and I'm putting in its paces, so to speak. I think at times it's actually over-wicking or I need to take another look at my fluff dimensions.

BUT anyway, quite intentionally I forgot to lock the switch on my X before dropping it back into my single holster. Almost 5 minutes later I realized that it was still firing my Heron. After letting it cool back down I resumed vaping and was surprised to find no burnt taste whatsoever. This would be unthinkable in my cotton builds. With cotton I would HAVE to rewick immediately.

YMMV of course...but just something I noticed ...

Only the other builders mods. Kicked all of them right down the road.

I am thinking I am going to do the same.

Ah, nice Bill. Always having GP, I also went through many devices. I obviously did not have or want the same relationship with the builder or device but, it can be fun to have others. I see nothing wrong with that as there are still quality devices to be had and good builders to support.

Throughout my GP span I have owned far to many devices and I finally said, enough. I found myself not owning them long as my inner-mind was constantly comparing form, function, and my feelings of the builder. I always ended up selling them anyhow for some reason. I have owned a few other Greek devices as well and while never having or trying to have the same relationship I ended up selling the lot for various reasons last year. They were fun devices still not comparing to my beloved GP devices. It was that point I decided to stop for good. Retrospectively, it was the best thing I could of done. I just don't need anything else.

I even got around to selling my pipe mods including my hammer. I still tried to hang on to what I know was good quality but, yet I failed to keep those. No matter whom the builder, it did not matter. And, I've owned many of the ones you listed buddy.

I own an REO. I may keep it I may not. It is a very fun and innovative mechanical mod to have, build and use. It is a completely different world squonking and building 14mm atomizers.

I use my feelings much, the best tool I own. I just feel good with GP. Since day one, I just have had an incredible attachment. And proudly I have had the pleasure of being a part of an incredible movement, the positive experiences and the well deserved popularity of GP.
It's not just about the incredible devices, the genius involved or the incredible service provided. It is much about Perseas, George, Miro and the rest of the GP Team. There is nothing and no one like them in our Vape Community worldwide. There is far more to the GP experience than just the devices as, I have seen it.

The last part of it is the Family we have. As serious now as I have ever been, I can tell you right now this is the best group of regulars that I have ever seen here and it's perfect. There is no contention, competition or ill feelings between the space waves in which we communicate. It is very refreshing as, I have seen some come and go and some try to pretend they never left. But, with this Family now, I find incredible how the new personalities enter and we all welcome them like old friends. I also love the laughs and the trials we each have. On most forums and threads we have all seen the testosterone fueled members having to prove their own personal hierarchy of rank in which builds walls not relationships.

As I have mentioned in the past, this thread is like a family social to me. There are no newbs, no culture, age, gender, religious, etc. barriers. We all can learn every day about each other and from each other. Hence the GP Family title. Thanks everyone

There is much more to the equation but, to hear the rest you better pm me :). But, it is a start for the reasons that there is only GP for me. Thanks Perseas

What do you mean by over wicking? Flooding or something? It took me a few wicks of cc to get what I think is a nice stream of liquid transfer from the fluff to the cc. I had a couple of wicks that were too thick and after a day or so, the vape seemed restricted. Took the top cap over coil off and saw the cc was all black and bunched up. I think I have a feel for how much to use now tho. Also, it's nice to know the Heron and X can hold up if a mistake like that occurs.

I see that some of your Turkish mods didn't make the cut :)
