I am off to Memphis on Thursday morning for work... Boss says there's a machine that needs fixin' out there and that's what I do, so off I go!
I've never been to Memphis, but I hear that it's a very cool city. Who knows, maybe I'll have time to visit Graceland! Any of you guys ever been?

I used to live in Jackson, TN and we frequented Memphis quite a bit.
Its a fantastic city. Just stay out of the "bad areas" as it can get a little sketchy lol.
Great music and food everywhere really. Eat local for sure...no chain places. You won't be disappointed. Memphis knows their food lol.
Very cool! Thanks, Path!! I am staying at the Westin on (I think it's) Beale St? I heard that there's a quite a bit to do down around there.....should be a good time! I'll be working most of the time, but hopefully I'll have a chance to go walk around at night....

I think Beale street is where most of the activity is. I've never been to Memphis, but we really enjoyed Nashville. Lots of great food and bars everywhere, not conducive to our family-oriented trip but walking around enjoying the sights was nice.

JP, if you like ribs you got to go to Beale Street Historic District. Great food and music.
Edit: did not read the above posts before I jumped in. You will have a great time . Check out Kings Palace. Great food there.

The company I work for has their headquarters in Memphis so I'm there several times a year. The Weston is in my top 3 hotels to stay at in Memphis. If you like blues you're going to love Beale street at night. Charles Vergo's Rendezvous is a must go, fantastic ribs.
Very cool guys, thanks for the tips! I hope I can find some time to relax while I'm there! I am taking a 6am flight out of Boston via Atlanta then onto Memphis. From there I will go straight to work at the hospital, work all day, then call it quits around 4-5:00. Then I will venture out onto Beale St.....can't wait to try the BBQ!!
I have a PAPS X Lux, another Heron and some misc spare parts on the way.
