The X ring is a cosmetic look for attys that don't require 510 air flow. (Side intake air attys and drippers, genesis style, etc). The OCD "rule" in the gp family states
"Tho shalt make everything sit flush if possible". :)
The AFC ring is for any atty that takes air in from the 510 connection.
Unless I've forgotten, the SS X does not include both rings. Although it's available separately. The Lux X and Titanium X include both.

ok, the X ring is a cosmetic look, but a cosmetic look is what i want. I dont want a gap between the top of the 510 connection and the top of the included ring. The question is (not to sound snotty), will a X Ring make the 510 connection on SS X flush with the top of the X ring? I have absolutely no problem purchasing another ring, i just want the SS to be flush like the Lux in the pic...

Yes it will. The X Ring, when threaded on sits flush with the outer ring on the top cap of the X. As the female 510 connection sits <1mm lower than that outer ring and X ring as not to interfere with the base of the atomizer to allow a flush fit.

Mssam, that is the one thing that irritates me on the x... The 510 connector wont have anything flush. :(.

On another note. Weather here was epic today. Finally got to pour the concrete to fill in between the concrete pad and my paver patio (that i have been working on for forever -- thanks to weather, vacation, and work). So i should be able to finish it all tomorrow. Also went and checked out a newer vape shop here in downtown. Bought a few new juices.. 5pawns - castle long, cloud science - alpha, and cyclops - colossus.

Like others have stated you need an X Ring my friend. That's the cure to OCD. [emoji6]

Hello my GP Family!

Sorry to hear, that 'life things' are costing some of our Family extra $s. :(

Those darn 'life things'....

If hope you guys don't mind, I'm going to tell my GP Family a little 'life thing' that has me a bit stressed....

On Tuesday, I am scheduled to have a breast tumor removed. Being a widow, pretty much s*cks. But, times like this, being a widow s*cks even more. Scary times, were a lot easier with my man by my side. I am a bit surgery phobic. When I was eighteen, I had a minor surgery go very wrong. For a brief moment, I was conscience (or not), and could see and hear all the commotion that was happening in response to my critical state. It is still very vivid in my mind. I have had a few surgeries since, without any major complications. But, each has resulted in significant pre-surgery stress. For the later surgeries, Hubby was there. Hubbies make everything better. At times like this, some may say, "I want my Mommy". Right now, all I can think is, "I want my Hubby.". :)

Even for a tough old broad like me, things can be scary. But, it's all good! :)

Cucco, I hear you there. When I was about 13 I had a pin put in my hip. I forget the medical term for what I had, but I was in tears scared. I am deathly afraid of anything medically related. Needles, surgery, etc. I've passed out at a friend's house when they were watching discovery channel lol.
You just have to accept it, and be strong. Trust in the doctors, nurses, etc. letting it get to you will make everything worse. It's hard, but just be strong. I'm pulling for you!!!

My thoughts will be by your side girl. Keep yours positive to help with the stress by knowing that you will come through this and move forward in your life. As you say, you're a tough lady. You can get through this, even alone, same as I have since my cancers were found in 2008. It's not up to the doctors or their miracle treatments, your idea of something spiritual if you believe in such, it's up to you yourself... in your heart, your soul and your mind.

Sorry to hear that, but i am certain that all will be well. Think positive and happy thoughts. Studies have shown that that plays a very positive role in healing. There is nothing to fear at all. While fear is a natural survival mechanism, it is unneeded here. A certainty of being fine is not only warranted but a self-fulfilling prophecy.

...a fait accompli, if you will ;)

Cucco I hear what you are saying and understand! I hope you have a friend around that can help get you thru this! You will be in my thoughts and prayers and I will send positive vibes your way! And sending cyber hugs! Curious is the tumor benign?

Keep your chin up, and your thoughts pure. You are going to do just fine. Your Hubby will be with you through it all until the end, in your memory and your heart. When you're scared, and you will be for this...we all would be, cling on to his memory and let his comfort guide you through.

We'll be here when you're recovering :)

Thanks everyone! Thanks for being my Family! So nice! :)

I usually do a pretty good job, at staying positive about most things. I think, more than anything, I have been feeling the 'widow' thing this week. The passing of Robin Williams last week, brought back some old hurts. Did you guys know, that's how I lost my Hubby #1? Robin Williams always reminded me of my Ellwood. I never knew for sure, but I always assumed Robin probably had a similar psych diagnosis as Hubby and me. I have an abundance of experience in this area, so I can usually spot these things. My Father, Hubby, Father-In-Law, and my closest friends were Manic Depressives. The disease took them all. Everyone loved my Ellwood. Always, the life of the party. He made everyone smile and laugh. Until, he couldn't....

Then, once you start thinking about one lost hubby, you start thinking about the other. Silly... I passed through the grieving process for both of them long ago. But, once in a while...

So, I have my Personal Assistant coming to town. I'll have that babysitter, the doctors are insisting upon. He's a good guy. He will take good care of me. And, I am sure, all will be good!

So sorry! Thanks for listening! :)
