Most Drs want to sell not to hear, unfortunately.
I agree with you, stress is everything, it is responsible for all of our wrong choices and their repercussions, whether these are food, drugs, lifestyle or people. It creates a vicious cycle, most of us have become insomniacs from the noise pollution and mainly from the light of our screens; the brain is stressed by the light which is not natural to exist at night. An approach that works for me is to convince myself that I want to sleep, the mind is very receptive under the
right mood*, of course I am pretending, but I see progress
“Don't pretend to be what you're not, instead, pretend to what you want to be, it is not pretence, it is a journey to self realisation.”
Michael Bassey Johnson
* This means to be inventive without chemicals, to use everything, from specific sounds, scents, water to candles and meditation. Many times there is a reason we can't sleep, our subconscious tries to bring our attention to some unresolved matters. If we start trusting and letting it to unfold the images, slowing the train of the thoughts, just observing the reoccurring main theme who seeks recognition and acceptance. It might be something insignificant or not, but it seeks acceptance, our little demons need love before they dissolve in the inner sea to let us sleep deeply at last. The body is wise but gets crazy when we don't hear its signals. We need to bless frequently. A good laugh works miracles too
