I wonder how an ULTEM tank would look on a fluff build..
Being able to see the fluff from the outside would certainly help to get it perfectly distributed within the tank. But would it also show the amount of liquid still left in the fluff?
When it arrives to you, try a loop build with the new topper. Hold the 2 cotton tails together and insert them through the topper's hole, it works fine!
When I do a build for Heron or Spheroid, I always insert the cotton twisted, holding both ends, pulling the left tail and continue twisting the right one at the same time, so it will be difficult to move it afterwards without twisting, it remains tight in place without being too dense and diminish the wicking. How much twist you do, depends on the coil, and the sense you get that if you overdo it, the wicking will stop after a while. It is a very easy process, and it can be corrected in a minute with a second attempt.
Quick question: Will the Heron V2 include the old cap which has two juice/wick holes which I prefer, or the new one discussed in this thread with a single juice/wick hole?

However yes, your concerns are correct - if you've only one or two sizes of 14xxx batts. But I believe there are quite a few variations out there, including amongst the AWs. Moreover, as you stated - the nipple tops and the flat ones. This GPin tries to please all sorts of those sizes. And GP indeed did a commendable job at it.
Absolutely true. 14650 do offer a bit of extra boom. I have two mods which can be maneuvered between 14500 & 14650 -- thus I can vouch for that. And that 15mm additional length isn't noticeable at all. Case in point the Vaper V4*:I agree with you Q and its not only the shortest, but best conducting 14500 mod on the market! But still i bet the length variation of the 14500 batteries does not exceed over 5mm. I have to try and find myself som flattop batteriesonly 14500 that were available in my local shop where purple efest nippletops. They will do the job, for now.
How about 14650 batterytubes? 14650 batteries would give around 50% increase in batterylife (650mah->950mah) and becouse the mod itself is already so short i would not mind an extra 15mm

Hi everyone! I just joined the GP family and got my piccoloid v2 from vapourart this tuesdayAND IM IN LOVE! Absolutely a stunning piece of kit. Im ipressed how GP has dealt with the voltage drops and conductivity of these 14500 mods! But i still have one question. The GPin seems very long and in my opinion it takes alot of the room in the mod. I understand that its hard to address problems when you got nippletop and flattop batteries on the market, but still when the gpin is approximately 1cm long and halfway through when screwing the spheroid on the mod it already makes contact with the battery. So the last turns are really hard to complete. Furtherso taking the mod apart for batterychange it is really difficult when there is a hard tension betweem the gpin and the battery. How i see it:
There is a lot of spareroom to cut from the overall length of the mod and by cutting the length of the gpin it would be possible tu cut the length of the batterytube. Also this would make a 14650 tube not to seem so longAny toughts?

There are a couple of reasons for the length of the GPin, which is a much shorter connection than a 510 one. In order to improve the conductivity, we increased the pressure upon the battery's poles, so the GPin is able to be compressed about 2-3 mm with a hard spring and sucks up a ton of battery life to the point of draining them. Second, we have to take in account the variations of the 14500 batteries, and at the same time to be able to inspect, clean and assemble the whole thing easily without tools, even with big hands. Another reason is simplification - compatibility , we decided to use common GPins for
GP Heron 1.0, 1.5, 2.0,
GP PAPS 3.0, 4.0,
GP Piccolo 4.0,
GP Spheroid 4.0 and
GP PAPS X 1.5.
We designed the GPin to function flawlessly with the dimensions of about 40 different brands of batteries. Of course, we can shorten the whole thing, not only the pin, but this will create incompatibilities with the rest models and versions and updating from a previous version, buying for example just the switch, won't work anymore, because the overall length will change. In a future version, we'll shrink the GPin, we have already designed a version 2.0, but for the aforementioned reasons we haven't produce it yet. We keep compatibility as long we can![]()

"We observed the battery charts and the 14650 batteries haven't any significant gain over the 14500 ones, so we won't make 14650 tubes. The GP Piccolo v1 and v2 circulated in 14650 mode indeed, they were requested by the VaporWall members and 100 units were produced."
