So this arrived today. Bought this specifically to use the (hopefully incoming soon) Dripper Pro on it. Guess I'll practice squonking on the junky atomizer for now since I have no other bottom-fed attys at the moment.

My Eleaf Pico Squeeze should be arriving any day now as well.

Whoa. I'm either going to have to whip up a new batch of liquid, pronto, or rebuild this to a single coil very soon. giving myself a nicotine headache. this atty is very NOT MTL friendly.

never tried a kayfun????????

There not quite a heron but a kayfun lite is very good.
sorry, just saw this. I've tried someone else's Kayfun v1, once, a long time ago but the performance vs complexity just wasn't for me.

Once I found the Spheroids and Herons I basically stopped shopping around for my perfect vape because I had already found it.

I tried ONE dripper and ONE other RTA, in the past several years, but always went back to my GP atties. I honestly wasn't looking for anything else but figured I'd play with a highly rated dripper and then tried the Kanger subtank because it was cheap and I hadn't bought anything I awhile. I vaped the subtank for a whole hour before giving it to a friend who preferred cheap tanks and was buying replacement, pre-built coils.

A BF setup with the dripper pro will be my first major change in awhile and I'm looking forward to it

Just out of curiosity, has anyone replaced the hex grub screws in their dripper pro with ones that can be used with a flat head screwdriver?

I haven't received mine yet but I've been trying out the one that came with my cheap squonk mod and it is cumbersome both while building as well as having to use multiple toolsets.

I suppose I could try to add a slot to the screws but I'm anticipating that the screws are both tiny (hard to work with) and strong (hard to cut).

hi Perseas. Can you give me the dimensions for the post screws in the Dripper Pro?

I'd like to go search for some replacements that I can use with a screwdriver.

Hello my friend, they have 4 mm length, you'll find them easily.

Hello my GP Family! I am back! I have rejoined the world! A little tornado thing, and then hurricane Irma(direct hit Cat 4 w/142 mph sustained winds).. Two of my four houses need shingles, one house needs the screens w/frames replaced, one house needs pool cage repairs, three houses need serious power washing, two properties need fencing repairs/replacement, and all seven properties need major tree and debris removal. I have a row of nine tall palms on the front side of this property. Luckily, for my OCD, I lost the center palm. How lucky was that?

Going into this, they were fairly certain two of my houses would be under water, and this house could be wet. Everything a few blocks east, west, north, and south of this house, was under a mandatory evacuation order. I am blessed. All four houses are still standing, no broken windows, and none are under water. The cats and I hunkered down in the guest suite. I put mattresses and box springs up against the windows. I tried to stay in there, but I just had to see Irma. So, I came out at times to watch. Most of the back of my house is glass(windows and sliders). Since that was the direction Irma's wind was coming, that was an intense sight to see. My pool cage saved my house. She took the direct hit. The winds came across the pond, and hit her head on. Trees on the other side of the pond were snapping like twigs, becoming missiles directed at my house. I was told by the person who has that property listing, there are around fifty trees snapped and/or down on that property. I don't know if that many trees are damaged over there, but I know quite a few hit my pool cage. I have an older pool cage. She is hefty. And, when I had her rescreened, I rescreened with Super Screen. I paid that extra money, because it is cat proof. I remember them saying it is hurricane proof as well. They were right about that! None of those tree missiles broke through. Those trees bounced right off. It was like I had a magic shield. The pool cage is a little bent, but every panel and screen remained intact. The only thing that blew off the pool cage, was one of the doors. The wind was so strong, it bent the chain link fencing on my lot next door, to the ground. Bent the poles even with the ground. I have never seen that before.

Before the storm, I had no clue where to park the Hummers. I didn't know what direction the wind would come from. So, I decided to park them in front of the glass doors on the south side of the house. I didn't know how to protect the Hummers, but maybe they could help protect my house? Instead, the house protected them. Again, blessed! The trailers stayed put. A good portion of the big tree on that side of the property dropped on them, but didn't break through. And, no damage to the warehouse.

Eight days without power. The day I got power, my refrigerator decided she didn't want to work. I worked on her until 4:00 am the next morning, and finally got her running. That day, I had my very dear grocery delivery couple bring me some food. The grocery stores had limited supplies, but I was happy for whatever I could get. It has been very hot and humid, so I mostly wanted something cold to drink.

Eleven days without television or internet. So, I have limited knowledge of Irma's path of destruction, or of much else that is happening in the world. My local paper(low info) and mail resumed four or five days in. UPS and Fed-Ex had my zip code classified as undeliverable for about six days. UPS had stopped delivering to my zip, two days prior to Irma. They had a package of mine sitting local on the Thursday prior, but would not deliver it. A dear friend from up home, was kind enough to order a kitty litter shipment from Chewy for me.

Finding a tree person or roofer is nearly impossible. Booked solid. I now know, the trick is to get on their lists before a hurricane. Who knew? Not me. My pool isn't swimable yet. My pool guy always complains about not making enough money. But, when I offered him big bucks to get me up and running once I got power, he didn't take me up on it. Young people these days.. Sigh. He is a lousy pool guy. I think he still has a job, because he is easy on the eyes? There are a lot of old widows here? Next week, I'm shopping for a new pool service.

I had a security camera focused on my pool cage during the storm. I was going to watch Irma on my computer from the guest suite. Unfortunately, I lost power very early on. So, no wifi for the video feed or cloud for storage. I will purchase a battery operated camera with memory for next time. It would have been nice to have those videos.

Luckily, I have Verizon for cell phone. Irma pretty much wiped out most AT&T cell towers. Neighbors with AT&T cell, were going house to house, looking for a working phone to call their friends and families.

I couldn't find any help to shutter my houses before the storm. People let you down. No surprise there. Oh well. I am working on options for that in the future. I am having this house priced for hurricane glass. But, the price tag will probably give me heart failure, so I will probably opt for the friendliest of shutter options.

The cats were spooked by all the days of hurricane preparation. Cats don't like change. They didn't like me moving everything from the outside into the house. The lanai is their favorite place in the world, and I removed all of their furniture and stuff. They weren't happy about that. To calm them the night before, we stayed up all night and played. We had catnip and treats. We were watching the storm from the lanai. We ran around the pool deck in the rain. My Alicia(21 y/o w/cancer) decided to not join us in the rain. But, my Beige Boy (20 y/o) did. Since I was wet anyway, I went for a swim. I can say I swam through Irma? We had a blast.

At 10:00 a.m., the tornado thing was a bit of a shocker. My doors slammed shut, and I was being sucked out my sliders. I held onto the slider handle, and struggled to get the slider shut. Bruised my hand, arm, and leg. I pulled something in my groin. Mostly healed now. It was like a paranormal episode in an old thriller movie? We live and learn. Too funny!

Several days in, I could hear my bigger diesel generator purring through the woods. The young couple down the street have a baby, so I insisted they take the generator down there. The only thing I cared about saving in my refrigerator, was my cat's chemo drug. So, they kept it in their refrigerator for me. My generator purring through the woods made me smile. It reminded me of happy times, when Norman and I would have her purring through the woods at our cabin in Maine. The young man is going to get the other one running too, so we will both have one next time. We are going to get both our houses wired for them. He and his Father complimented the quality wiring connections I have for the generators. I was so very proud to say, they were constructed by my dear friend Joel. Joel has since passed away. But, his work still impresses. How cool is that? He was a great electrician, a good man, and a very dear friend. Norman and I loved him.

A lot of things went right for me in this storm. And, I am so very grateful. Mother nature spared me much. Many others were not so lucky. My heart breaks for them. I am blessed...

Saw this update right after you posted it GP... and was VERY relieved IAMA I knew you were in the hardest hit area. Whew! But I knew you had and would have hundreds of things to handle that would take weeks/months... so didn't try to contact you. Do hope your life is getting closer to being back to what you and I call normal now days.

By design I am impossible to contact at anytime on short notice, but a few folks were trying to hunt me down after the shooting massacre in the Capital of Sin back on October 1st. I was not there, but it was a concert I might have attended if back in the days when I still had better mobility.

The product you describe is the GP Dripper Pro and yes it can work flawlessly with single coil, adjustable single airflow ring and resistance values above 1Ω. It comes with the spares mentioned on Qorax's video.

Hi Ho P. Good to see that the forum is getting some activity again.

I often use my GP Dripper Pro with a dual Ready X Wick build in it. Flavor is stellar, it doesn't leak, it is bullet proof and makes for a very compact combo on a Pico mod. It has been moved around on both mech and regulated mods, so used for both bottom fed and dripping. For quite some time now though it's been a favorite combo on one of my two Silver Pico mods (one a 75W TC, the other a mech Squeeze Squonker). I used to take it just tossed in a shirt pocket on my wee hours of the night errand runs. But since I had a custom vehicle cup holder made that holds 2 Pico's I take 2 Pico Squeeze along now.

If I didn't already have upwards of 150 atty's, I'd have bought another 2-3 of them for more of the Pico mods (have 6 of them).

Speaking of squonkers @cliffy15 ...

Newest toy around here (3+ weeks ago), a DT-TS that I am calling Purple Haze. It's a mech dual parallel battery squonk mod. Has the best innovative leak free/easy to refill bottle system I've ever had (holds 10ml), and the batts last and last even with the super low sub ohm dual build I have in it. Clouds for days of dense flavor rich vapor (actually, more like a total white out). Comes with a full set of replacement parts plus extra spares, the tools to easily take it all the way apart, etc. I even got a matchy-matchy cap for one of my the Goon 1.5's that I'm running on it some of the time (backup is a black Mesh RDA). Also just got a perfect matchy-matchy purple/black big bore 810 tip for it as well, but haven't made a picture with it yet.

When they get back in stock 2 or 3 of the other 4 colors will be incoming.
The also offer a 3 parallel battery model.

Aloha Spydro!

I'm quite liking the squonking. I'm using a Kanger dripbox with a Vandy Vape Pulse 22 at the moment. It's a pretty good entry comboand the flavor is intense. I also have a Pico Squeeze on it's way but, like the Dripper Pro, I'm not entirely sure when it'll arrive.

I'm hoping it arrives soon so that if this squonking works for me I'd like to get another dripperpro (I see that at this moment I can still add another to my cart)!

I've been looking around at squonk mods but don't want to go through the hassle of FB lists and outrageous sums of money at the moment.

I've been looking around for a nice, regulated, single-battery squonk mod to start with. I've briefly considered the Wraith, Dripbox 2, and the Therion BF 75C but they all have things that I really don't like but I'd still like to test my different builds with different wattages.

My budget is tighter than it used to be, though, so I can wait for awhile on the mods.

Edit: I've also considered the VT inbox but the design just doesn't suit me. I suppose I could just get one and just keep one for home use if I really want to work with a regulated squonk mod for a bit.

That Pico Squeeze will only drive 50W MAX, so it will limit you builds to around 0.35 ohm or higher.

I have a Pulse 22 and 24, their Icon and a bunch of their Mesh 24 RDA's, but only use their Mesh RDA's now days. They are one of my favorite clouds of flavor atty's for both squonking and dripping. My P67's and DT-TS mech squonkers can drive them quite well, but my many dual series battery regulated mods really make them shine (esp those with preheat).

I've preferred squonking for well over 3 years now, and acquired 3 dozen mech squonk mods so far. But I have also brought back into service some of my regulated mods that I have a lot of really good RTA's and RDA's that I rotate on them.

There has only been one regulated squonk mod that I ever wanted, the Hellfire Shadow, and I'm still not willing to settle for anything less. It's one of those Secrete Society mods that at that time could run around $750 IF you could ever lay your hands on one. Since I refuse to join or support that elitist group, my only shot was one a 'friend' had managed to get when he resold it. My dibs for it at any price didn't get it. It was a want not a need, so I stopped looking for one long ago.

I'm not a fan at all of any of the reg squonkers you mentioned for my uses. But for what you want one for buying a Holy Grail mod like the Shadow would be WAY over the top. I consider iJoy gear in the same class as those others, but do know that a new iJoy Capo 100W Squonker is due in stock for sale any day now at China dealers with prices as low as $33 for just the mod, $46? if they include the new 25mm BF atty for them (shipping included). USA dealers are waiting for them as well, but naturally the prices will be higher. They are a similar design and just a bit larger than a Pico Squeeze. No idea what chip set they have in them. (Don't confuse it with the other new Capo 100W mod that is not a squonker.)

thanks for the recommendation!

tbh, single cell mods are probably what I'm after. Since I generally use less than 50W I should be good... so far I prefer a .8 dual coil build and I'm currently using a 1ohm single coil build.

I'm not really a high power vaper but wanted to get a cheap regulated mod to tinker with as a starter.

there was one mod I liked... it was an ergonomic, dna, single battery device made of delrin but I can't recall the name of it at the moment...

Might have been the SVA 75W you're thinking of @cliffy15.

found it. It's the MMVapors Palm Bf mod.

The SVA (I believe it's called the evo) looks very nice as well!

Unfortunately, both seem to be difficult to find and well outside of my budget.

I'm still tinkering with the Dripbox and soon with the Pico Squeeze. They will serve me well, I think, until I can find something that's exactly what I want.

I probably will get one of the cheap regulated mods as well so that I can tinker with builds/wattages to see where my sweet spot is.

My downfall is impatience. While my Dripper Pro order is complete, I have no idea when it'll arrive (no DHL option this time) and I'm anxious to start testing it out so that if I think it's great a can nab one more for the great price while it's available (assuming Christmas shopping doesn't wipe me out). @cliffy15 ... I originally bought my 4 Pico 75W mods for matching my DIY's to my builds in all of the many different 22mm atty's I have (RDA's, RDTA's, RTA's). Back then the Pico 75W was around $32-$34 for the standard 5-6 colors. Newer so called fancier Picos have higher prices.

Old pics from when I first bought them...
picox4.jpg

I'm the first person to ever do it AFAIK... do a super low sub ohm quad build in a little Avo G... ;)

Getting back on topic ...
When I first got my GP Dripper Pro I pulled one of my GP PAPS V3's back out of storage to drip it on. But my 2 V3's were the least favorite of my 11 VapourArt tube mods (don't like the switch), so I moved it to the 2.1 instead. I'm just not into tube mods anymore though. So then I ran it in squonk mode on a TRA Reo P67 for a time before putting it on the SS Pico 75W it now resides on. I really like the GPDP except for the DT assembly (I run one of my big bore Syner DT's instead).

Anyway, I visited the VA Store and see that @perseas has now reduced the price of the GPDP's almost 30% since I bought mine. That has me rethinking the current 22mm atty's that are resident on several of my mods. If only the GPDP's were available in black, 2 would be a fairly easy choice. But I just might come up with a place for 1 SS, maybe 2 more of them. I could easily see one on one of my Pico Squeeze squonkers (the SS/Black version). Hmmm?

Well, I just pulled the trigger on a second Dripper Pro even though I haven't yet received the first order yet.

I decided that the potential pain of not having a spare (what if they run out?!) was worse than the risk of not liking the product. It's a pretty safe bet considering I haven't had a GP product that I didn't like (although I like some more than others).

So Merry Christmas to me!

I'm going to have to prioritize the list.whoever is at the bottom just got bumped to lump-of-coal status... [emoji16]
