Hey Guys,

So I just bought a v2 Spheroid off of someone in the classifieds....very excited to use it with my new v3 Paps!! I was just wondering if you guys have any tips/tricks for setting it up? This is my first ever adventure into an atty with this kind of setup, so I will be flying blind at first for the most part. The seller is sending me some fluff which is cool, so I should have everything I need!

I am an rda guy for the most part, so building on this type of atty will be new to me......I was just curious; does the e-liquid tend to drip down from above if the Spheroid is left unused for a period of time? It seems that gravity would take over eventually and cause the liquid to come down and flood the chamber....how does the atty keep this from happening? Does the fluff hold it nicely in place up above?

As you can tell I know very little about setting this type of atty up, so I'll take all the help I can get!! Does the Spheroid seem to work well with the v3 Paps (are any of you guys running this setup)?

Thanks in advance and I will be sure to post pics when I get it!! :)

Hello buddy :)

Regarding your question, the quantity of fluff is critical factor to avoid leaking issues. Yes, the fluff can hold it if it is put properly. It works perfectly well with the GP PAPS v3, no worries :)
We have a ton of tips & tricks about Spheroid, a whole thread is dedicated to different builds created by Spheroid users all over the world. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...notifications-tips-tricks-updates-thread.html

I figured out that I was using too little fluff. Rebuilt with a slightly longer length, still no gurgling or leaking, but now I can put much more juice in. Also, I was trying to saturate the fluff by dripping into it from the top, bad idea. You really need a syringe and get down in there and have it soak and fill from the bottom up. Rookie mistake!

Actually, you don't need a syringe, except the first time and not always, it is a matter of the fluff's proper density in relation to the viscosity of your juice. The use of a common pointed plastic bottle is enough.

Oh good to know, thanks P. The changes I made doubled the amount of juice I can hold compared to how I first set it up, so very happy now! I've only used a 50/50 mix in there so far and it vapes like a dream!

It's taken me some time to get the hang of it, but now that I have it's proven to be an excellent and very reliable vape.

I just bought a V3.

I must be lucky, because other than undertightening the airflow base once, this atty has been great since day one.

No leaks, no gurgles, great flavor, and a lot of vapor (even considering it's size).

I use it a .85, 26 gauge, 7 wraps, around a 3/32 bit.

Cotton wick, just long enough to reach the filler that came with it. I used 2.75" in length, and cut the provided filler fluff stuff exactly in half for width.

Awesome vape, has replaced my normal Russian 91/ kayfun 3.1 rotation

That's awesome!!

Yeah I left tank attys and started dripping and never looked back....that is, until I got a Spheroid.....Now I own 2 of them (along with 2 Herons) and am LOVING the Spheroids!! As you said no leaking/gurgling, and a tank lasts a LOT longer than you think it's going to....they really are wonderful little atties!!

I have always liked RBA's and RDA's. That being said, does GP make a true RDA?

My biggest problem is what to run it on.

The Precise Plus 14500 fits right at flush, and looks great, but for the first time, I like the non- flush look of the 18500 Simplicity.

When I put the tall boy tip on it, it's surprisingly proportional....dang near the Fibonacci series.

I don't know why I like the Super T products on it so much...sure, I like Super T, but none of my other attys go as well with them (other than the Strata of course)

LOL! Since getting my Spheroid, then the Heron, I don't think I've touched my Origen once. And dripping was pretty much all I did before that.

Too funny. I am just not a dripper at heart. Never have been. Although, I buy every new one that shows up and sell them a week our two later. I finally stopped after the Origen. But then the Cerebus comes out knowing it will look champion on the X.
I find it funny though....the new drippers all have deep tanks so they really mimic a RBA more and more.

I don't enjoy lung inhales, or wide open draws, that's just my preference. Even on the Origen, I used a single coil with the smallest air hole, and sometimes even closed that a bit. I instantly fell in love with the tight draw on the Spheroid. Just really fit me like a glove.

Same with the Heron, I keep the air hole almost all the way closed. I'm just really content with both setups now, feels good to stop searching, know what I mean?

I like air all over the place. That being said, I also am in the same camp as you. 6 months ago the Spheroid air topic wouldn't go away. Personally I love it. I commented on how I enjoy the feel of pulling a hit. It was never meant to be an airy drawing atomizer. I can still lung it if I need too but rarely do.
Of course Perseas as always tried and tried to satisfy everyone and made some prototypes. His findings were that it just muted flavor in a perfectly designed atomizer.
Although today on the build of my newest Spheroid, I can tell that there is more air. Still not too much for me but, P came through for many as always without sacrificing flavor.
I am a flavor and nic junkie, I don't care about clouds. Imo the air protest was a bit annoying.
I was just explaining to a not yet but soon gp fam guy that there is a reason a huge number of vapors that love the Spheroid as is for one reason, flavor. I haven't come across any better.
The Heron, I truly liked from the get go. After many and I mean many builds, I love them as much, no doubt.
Thanks P :)

Point, and advice, taken.

Apologies rendered

Post deleted due to poor taste on the part of ....well, myself.

I didn't think of PM. I should've. This post was a heck of a way to introduce myself around here.

Also, at the risk of sounding grovelish (is that a word?), I gotta compliment you on the tone and delivery of your admonishment. Manners are a rare thing online these days :)

With respect, I'm not sure if this is the arena for this discussion out of my and our respect for GP and Perseas. You are correct, it was in poor taste to post this here. A pm would of been a better venue.
Objectively, I am sure the members of Dave's thread and Dave would also not appreciate me doing the same on his thread. Please understand.
Many of us are very familiar with Dave's work and I am perfectly comfortable saying, as far as machine work, customer service, performance, designs, knowledge, pricing and much more GP is superior in all aspects.
Any further discussion can be done through private messaging.
Thanks for understanding and enjoy the Luxeseses!

Edit - I hope both of our posts are deleted :)

Thank you very much, I even reread my post wondering if I could of been more pleasant. And please, no worries my friend. The GP threads and our Fam is a bit different than what you will find elsewhere. Please join us on the main thread.
There are a couple Super T fans that are regulars here. Cucco, Nach and a few others.
Once you get a feel for the members and King P you will be hooked!
Welcome!

Thanks guys. I appreciate your acceptance in light of my faux pas.

Anyways, moving right along.

Tonight was rebuild night. I rebuilt the following:

Two Russian 91%'s

An Expromiser

Z-Atty

Spheroid

The Spheroid outperformed all but the Z-Atty in taste. It matched it. (Matching a genny in taste is stunning to me)

It was just behind the others in vape production.

This is some of the best money I spent in vaping.

Welcome aboard :)

Comparing a 16 mm atty with 22 mm ones is really a compliment for us, thank you!
