hehe.. not a problem.

here is the thought.. the reviewer has to order the device and at least enough carts for 2 weeks of use. here is why. On a refillable device i would use the stock carts for two weeks and see how it is doing. then i would start using refilled carts and see if it fails that way. also could get a good idea of the number of puffs required to drain a cart that way.

If we can get organized, i think this could be the first device to review, and possibly the G220 as well.

i agree completely. we should start a review pool. Here is my thought. if people get interested in an item, we all pitch in a few bucks to help the reviewer with the cost of the item. with the number of members, 5 bucks from a couple would cover the cost of almost any cig.
What do you guys think?
Don't companies usually offer free samples to professional reviewers. We should assign a member as "our" professional reviewer and solicit the companies to participate thru submission of a free sample. An additional incentive for them could be offerring them free advertisements thru publications of our positive reviews on YouTube and major Electronic Review websites.

Secondly, I'm not understanding the math. Twenty people would have to donate $5 for a $100 item. And we all know $100 is a low estimate for the better makers. I'm not sure you would get twenty that easily.

I'd be willing to donate depending on what the final plans look like. However, I wouldn't be a reviewer cause I couldn't do videos - lol.

Just some ideas IMHO

when i say a few, i don't mean 1 or 2. if 10% donated $5 that would be $150. that would cover most of the cost for almost any unit. problem is that with each new unit, there would be a new cost. I think it was good in theory, but probably not easy to do with the economics standpoint.

I was just thinking about the professional reviewer idea. I can donate my camera, writing skills, and e-cig destroying capabilities to the cause. All we would need is the endorsement of this forum for the "professional" or official reviewer position. User reviews would still be encouraged, but the pro guy would do an in-depth and methodical review. First impressions, longevity, possibly even dissection for dead or unusual units.(like the G300 cart)

Maybe that is the better way to go.

thanks sarahjane.yeah...well,they arent available until july 1st as id heard....think if i get one it'll be from the dutch guy,cos if hes selling them for 189 euros with 40 atomisers(allegedly) it works out much cheaper than that german site.well i just bought 2 kissboxes,so i wont be buying anything else for quite a while-i hope!i havnt noticed many reviews on the G220 in the european forums...i wonder why...

ok,bit of an update on this model G300...read a review on it by a trusted source.the concept seems to work fine, however,it seems that each atomiser/cartridge only yields approximately 80-90 drags.this makes it an expensive proposition.i think they may be working on a solution to this problem for the future,so fingers crossed.by the way,the cartridge strengths are high-5mg,medium-3 mg,and low-1mg which isnt nearly strong enough.the long totem v9 also used this atomiser/cartridge idea, but it didnt work out for it either.so good in principle, but will take a little while to perfect i think.

I have been excited about this for some time now. Visited the Web site many times. Love the concept and the look of GreenCigs, made by an American company manufacturing in China. But pricing is the great unknown. These simply must be priced at the cost of cigarette smoking. If that's done, I'm on board.

The estimate on the cartridge use would be dead-on what is needed in the marketplace. A pack has 20 cigarettes and most smokers will consume a pack a day. If a GreenCig cartridge/atomizer costs what a pack of cigarettes costs, and is disposable after use, then I'll be consuming seven a week, forever! Do it GreenCig.

25 cigs...well the G220 does about 6-7 per combi cart,so i very much doubt it.

these things must both come down in price, and up their performance before they are viable.

im looking forward to the G300 which is out in a week or two.
i wonder if they have improved on the G220 weaknesses...we shall soon see.

i still expect it to be overpriced.

I agree with Rat and Darcy. I'll buy ONLY from the U.S. for delivery in the U.S. and the price of the unit will be a complete "no go" if it's more than cigarettes. BTW: Cigarettes are $2.25 a pack where I live. My Dean's Lil' Cigars that I last smoked before quitting (they are really cigarettes in a brown wrapper) are $.94 a pack or $8.40 a carton. Now, that's cheap.

is there any place to see a diagram of how these things are constructed, I'd be interested to know if they are using the polyester cores built into the atomizer/cartridge combo or if somehow they managed a drip cartridge of some sort. I'm totaly wierded out by the polyester scare I had last night. So much so that all I've had today is catch dry snus and lots O' stonewall, feels pretty good actualy. Last time I had a smoke free day I was 16 years old. BTW thnks so much TB for turning me on to the java stonewall, it's awesome with a cup of coffee. Ijust odered ten more boxes of the stuff so I should be set for quite some time.

good question...this is the G220 atomiser/cart dismantled.usually the black cart is deadlocked to the white atomiser part.

im afraid it looks like the polyesters still there.its looks quite rudimentary really.

im not sure if the G300 is the same, but it could well be.we'll know more when its released,im sure.
