no the screwdriver doesnt self clean.
the self cleaning is intiated on e-cig batteries. The battery does a puff count and at 1500 puffs or so goes for a self clean cycle. So effectivley you could have a spanking new atomizer and your old battery but the battery has counted 1500 puffs in its lifetime so try's to clean your shiny new atomizer...bad idea :(

Screwdriver uses of the shelf batteries so self cleaning is not in the equation.

Wow, that was a good video! I almost cried  Anyways, I am the lucky man about to receive Grimm's SD and I am very excited for it to arrive! I have already purchased the penstyle adapter from Trog, so hopefully that is in the mail as well.

As I told Grimm before, she will be loved and cared for as if she was my own daughter. Maybe one day he can come out here to visit her, or I can send it to him for a weekend visit.

Thanks Grimm, your awesome!

I really did enjoy the video..it was like watching a breakup :)

Lol, it really was. "I'm sorry.... it's not you, it's me."

That said, I'm gonna give the ex a whirl. Ordered my SD today. She's exactly what I need... long battery life with a manual switch. Probably won't be what I use at home, but I DJ... so it will come in handy on the job. Right now I've gone through 3 batteries and 2 pass-throughs because the sound/pressure keeps firing my batts!

I get what ya mean Grimm. It really isn't anything like smoking a real cig. It gives great results but the actual action needed to use it is something else. I've been rotating 3 different e-cigs including the SD. The best time I have with the SD is when I go to a casino and gamble for 3 hours or more. I'm a smoke monster when I gamble because there's money involved and I get anxious which makes me smoke more. I used to smoke nearly a whole pack of analogs on a night out gambling. The first time I took my 901 it was satisfying me but both batteries died before I was finished and that's actually what made me leave. Last weekend I took my SD to MGM Grand and was in there for 5 hours and it never gave up. It was funny because at one of the tables the pit boss actually came over to look at it wondering if it was some kind of counting device. It was a real distraction to other gamblers at first. I actually seem to use the Rio or 901 mostly at home so I've decided the SD is my gambling tool. Anyway, that's a nice video and you do have a good reason to sell yours and I hope you don't regret it down the road.

yeah i took my 901 out gambling tonight and went through 2 batteries in the process and ALMOST resorted to having an analog... on a side note i fed $20 into a megabucks machine just for kicks , someone has to win that 30 million right?

i have a penstyle coming from puresmoker , so i'm hoping those batteries might last a little longer

This made me so sad... glad vape is taking it off your hands to give it the love it deserves. I have 3 e-cigs on the way which will complete my collection (sans the e-pipe) and the screwdriver I did not get because as much as I would like to try one.. I know it is not for me. If any LIers have one.. bring to the meet and vape in April so I can try it!

Great news! I just got my Screw Driver in the mail. Thanks Grimm, you are awesome. My first impressions are WOW, this thing gives a great throat hit, even better than my RS-888 mini pipe, which up to now was the best performer I had. I actually was about to order some more Pipes, right before the mail came and after trying the SD, I canceled the order.

Well now that I am in Screw Driver heaven, I have an important question. Can I drip on the Screw Driver without any damage to the main device?

Thanks

Although I don't do it I would say it's OK since there is no electronic switch or micro chip to get gummed up. If any did get past the atomizer into the main housing it would have to run down the side of the battery and into the switch on the end which I think you could just spray some electronic parts cleaner into it if that happened.
There really is no need to drip as far as I can see. Put a soaked cart on there and get ready to start choking if your not careful.:D

Did you get your 801 adapter? I am very curious how people think the SD works with an 801, im mainly looking for long batt life and long cart life w/o much topping off.

Let me know your impressions when you get to try it!
