I've been reading and drooling over a good no-leak Gummy tank but being lathe challenged it was beyond my tool-less abilities. I searched for an alternative to having a channel grooved for an o-ring.
What I used was a normal tube, and some food grade silicone epoxy (sets in 5 mins, cures fully
in 24 hrs) Used some JBweld stuffed into a clearo tube to from a mold, just cut the tube off
once it's hard. Then using the tank tube and the JB spacer molded the silicone to form a
1/4" top washer and 3/8' bottom pieces. Took the silicone out of the mold before it was fully
set and compressed it very sightly so it would be slightly bigger than the tube.
Once cured they are tight on the slotted carto, and tight on the tank tube, only downside is the
silicone is purple....... may need to visit the cosmetic mods section....
No tool disability can overcome an ECF modder !!!
