Cut the guy a break. I'm sure he's freaking out right now trying to figure out how it happened. He's been a valued vendor & member of the community for years.

In my former life I was a body shop manager. Even with a $50,000 paint booth we would still get debris in the paint jobs on occasion. There is literally no way anyone can guarantee perfection...we can only strive for it.

I won't...I already pay good money, so if prices go up because we expect cleanliness I'll just start diying................

I expect cleanliness also but to expect something like this to never happen is crazy. Have you never went to a restaurant and received food with a hair in it ? I have on several occasions. Not something I was happy about but nothing to make a big deal of. I returned the food and got it remade. 1 person has reported a hair in the bottle of juice. If it was several with hair in the bottle than I would start questioning the vendor. Until more report hair in the bottle this is nothing more than an isolated incident IMO

I have to say I more than agree with this.

The vendor did not respond to your original email in the way you would have liked him to, although he was quick to offer more than one solution. You took to the forums because you didn't get the response you wanted and asked for opinions. Opinions were given, and I'm really starting to think you didn't agree with any of them. I learned earlier that you never responded to his email regarding the solution options?? Why is that?

No two people are the same, nor with they give the same responses...you can't fault them for it. Why didn't you email him back with how you felt? "I appreciate your offer, but I'd like to know how you feel/what you intend to do about the situation. Why do you need me to return the bottle?"(for example). If you were bothered so much by his response, why is it you'd tell the world, but not him?

He's tried to make the situation right...period.

I wont make any excuses for this and completely apologize but this is being made like there are tons of cases like this which is far from the truth. There is one case with a hair inside the bottle ONLY. While that is still not acceptable by us in any way I wont try to make excuses, it was a accident and oversight by us and we will make every effort to make sure this never happens again. We tried to resolve the issue and offered a complete refund or replacement with no reply at all. Not willing to send it back makes us wonder if this is just a slanderous assault. I know there is the other post by Doberz for a hair behind the label which is still not acceptable but an accident just the same. We have been in business now for 3 years and this has never happened before. With the amount of bottles we have sent out in the time we have been in business, even one case like this is unnaceptable by our standards but if we werent using sanitary precautions I think there would be many more cases than this.

Once again we sincerely apologize.

An apology if worthless if it isn't sincere. I don't think it was a, "slanderous assault." That's just ridiculous. Quote, "There is one case with a hair inside the bottle ONLY," hmm...ok I'm done.

I speak my mind so read or ignore it...I don't care, it's just my opinion

The way I see it is if you guy's want lab quality get ready to pay more for your juice.....
That's just a silly statement. If I were to pay for McDonalds I would be irate with a hair in my food! I don't care about the price, if you're going to produce something then produce it right. Who is going to pay less for a hair in their juice?

It doesn't sound like he needs a break. He seems to be doing just fine bashing the customers.

This is funny really I found my own hair in a tank that I filled up the other day, and yes it was gross even with it being my hair, but still it can happen and I am sure it will happen again, hair falls out and things happen we are human.
You aren't manufacturing to thousands of people. It's not really a comparison.

I don't know if Hairball would like that. Perhaps sending her a PM and getting her OK would be appropriate.

There were only 2 incidents, yours in the bottle, and Doberz on the label. I have no explanation for how it got there so there was no need to elaborate on that. I felt asking if you wanted a full refund or a complete replacement was sufficient enough. Maybe I didnt word it good enough for you and that I apologize but we strive to ensure the uttmost quality and always will.
It hasn't made feel any less of your juices Don. You put out some very top quality juices and will be puting in more orders in the future. Hope u don't get to stressed out by this and can enjoy your vacation coming up.

This kind of thing happens and to go irate only shows no self control. Take your problem to the vendor and get it resolved. If it becomes common then you make a big deal

That is flawed logic. I never asked them for a refund or a replacement. I simply sent them an email stating my experience. Also, me sending them a bottle with a hair in it proves nothing.

I proves that they had a quality issue. It proves that they are in fact replacing a defective bottle.

I'm usually not grossed out by a hair but the response from the vendor just shows very poor customer service.

What would you have considered a more appropriate response?

There's no reason this should have needed to continue after these two posts...period. It's past the point of reconciliation and is now just going crazy. You've done what you can to resolve, I'd say brush it off.

I have had it happen a couple of times. both times the manager came over and profusely apologized... I get my meal replaced and the entire table ate free. before we left the manager again profusely apologized. but, some of my friends will never again enter a restaurant it happens to them in. for me, if the manager is apologetic and does all he can to make it right I am good.

I stand by everything I've written here, but since I've had an issue with this vendor in the past I will now bow out of this thread so ya'll don't think I'm being vendictive. my incident happened some time ago and I have never mentioned it here.

It was mentioned one already but ill reiterate that hair happens. I work in food service, I have for close to 20 years. I coincidentally DO manufacture to thousands per week. In fact approximately 10k. I operate in a state certified and inspected facility. We maintain strict HACCP standards. I dont care what precautions you take, unless you have everyone shave their heads and nair their entire body hair will get into things. My employees wear hair nets and hats. At least 3 times per month there are cases of hair. Its life. We are humans, our hair falls out.
