man i gotta flip a coin or come up with some extra cash, just priced everything for a blk copper vein lp reo, but i want this mod so bad i can already taste it

I think you would like it Sando. I know you have the IPV4 like I did. I sold mine. One thing I noticed about my IPV4 comparing it to my dna 40 mods is that the IPV4 would keep firing to the point where the mod would say too hot (Not temp too hot but mod too hot). It didn't seem to cut the wattage or temp back like my dna 40's do. I am led to think at this point the IPV4 temp control is not what it claims to be. I was getting burnt hits at 30 joules and 410 degrees but when I had the same build on my Dna 40 it was no burnt hits. Seemed kinda odd to me. I held my IPV4 fire button for 30 seconds and nothing came on the screen to say temp protected or anything even at 212 joules it wouldn't say anything.

Just got mine today. I am loving the size. Just 2 minor problems. First my fire button was real loose like hard to fire because it would push back into mod, I fixed this with a small spacer inside behind the button. Second the battery door would not latch when a battery was installed I ended up having to bend the positive tab slightly. I know these are minor problems but I don't like to have to fix problems on a $150 item to get it to work.

Is the contact on the door fully screwed in? That could be the reason it wouldn't latch. KTMRiders door wasn't flush with the bottom of the mod and he found out the contact wasn't fully screwed in.

Everything is tight. Whats happening is when i close the door the little brass nub that catches on the post on the door gets pushed down instead of back when i close the door if I pull the latch back first it catches just fine.

Mine just glitched  Screen is snow and numbers are wonky. Come on Evolv I thought this thing was fixed. I guess this is going back for a refund now. I am so sick of sending back wonky devices. My Vaporshark went back 3 times, my SX Mini went back and now this. Not good to pay $150 to $200 for a mod that has issues.

That sucks. Does the screen reset after it goes to sleep?

I read a post on reddit about this happening to the V4s and the large screens still being glitchy. Hana Modz replied to someone and said something along the lines of they are aware this is still happening and the fix that Evolv made was to not allow the device to get stuck with the glitched screen (which forces a battery pull) and the screen just resets itself. Others are reporting they cannot change to left/right hand mode.

PBusardo supposedly also made a FaceBook post about his screen glitching with the newest board with atty lock.

I have had my screen glitch on me once and not since and it corrected itself while I was still taking a hit. Mine also switches orientation with no problems.

I also read that Vapor Shark is selling mods with the older screens (non atty lock and have screens that get completely stuck) with no warranty for a discounted price. That is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen.

Edit- Here is the post

Hana Modz said:
"Sorry to hear you are experiencing an issue with your MOD. The board has been updated by Evolv to ensure it does not get stuck in scramble screen mode. The screen may scramble but will reset itself after a few seconds. To have the unit go into left hand mode, please hold the button(s) for a few more seconds simultaneously. Please do not apply pressure to the battery door as it will reset the unit. If you have any further questions, please contact us. Thank you, Julie"

The main thread is about VS selling chips with issues that they will not support once bought.

.66, I'd like to see the size of his build... Lol I've got one of these on the way and I was wondering if it was going to bug me not being able to see the screen while vaping. Maybe now, not so much.... Lol

I've had such a great experience with my Vapor Flask, I guess I'll see how this one goes. I'm still excited to get it though.

Dose it only happen when firing? Sort of looks that way huh? You might not ever know it's happening if you can't see the screen while vaping if it resets that fast.

Edit... Just realized he wasn't using TP.

I can see the screen easily while vaping.
Really, off to the side like that? I'm not doubting you at all, it's just my mods with screens on the side are hard to see. Can you make out what's happening, like seeing the temp rise and fall and the volts being pushed? I would like that. But I guess I'll find out next week.
