Quit Analogs 5 weeks ago, same day our eGo kits arrived via postman. both me and the hubby were a pack+ per day smokers all of our adult lives. I was able to quit for about 6 years after my last pregnancy, but picked it back up 5 yrs ago and am soooo thankful to have found the world of ecigs and vaping! we started out initially with No.7 Disposables to see if we could hack it, and couldn't place our order for the eGo kits fast enuff after just one puff off of the No.7! We have converted a few of our friends and family and have developed quite a little vape community here where we live ;)

I quit smoking 5 days before I got my first vaporizer...I had the patches but was extremely allergic to them. On the fifith day, I knew I had to take it off and either smoke or find another way. I found a tobacco store with e ciggarettes and they held me over until I got my 510 in the mail. I ordered my Ego a day later, having found this forum I knew I'd need something more. After 40 yrs of smoking I haven't even wanted one since that day! My daughter still smokes but the thought of it and the smell kinda makes me queasy now...my juices taste so much better! I have also gone from 24 mg nic to 6 on most days and even zero nic at night. I don't plan to quit vaping any time soon either...I've had too many "quit smoking" periods fails because I thought I had it all figured out. They can say it's not a smoking cessation device all they want, but for me, that's exactly what it is!

one more. Smoked for 8 years 20-25 cigs a day, stopped about 40 days ago, a week after i received my first PV. Started do This is impressing but for me the most impressive thing is that i really feel like a non-smoker, I don't even think about cigarettes, the smoke from other people it's starting to bother me,... like a non-smoker. This is what i love about vapor.

I agree about the smell CSK, but I think it is important that Vapers don't embark upon the route of denigrating analogue smokers to being "social outlaws". That label kept me smoking for years, simply because it was against the social norm.

The only way that I can best describe my feeling, since starting vaping is:
There, but for the grace of God, go I.

I started vaping on the 1st of November went about 14 without an analog, then something came over me. I was craving one. I beat myself up over it. It wasn't not worth it the smell and taste was horrible. I did some research about having the occasional analog on the forum, found that I was not the only one. The best advice I read I don't remember who wrote however it was just count the ones you don't smoke. that's what I do now. There are just habits attached to my 24 y/o habit that I'm going to have to learn to curve. I was useing my atty and carts for the first few days till I went on a long road trip. Knew I was going to need to do something other than drip. So I purchased some prefilled cartos noobie I didn't know any better. Didn't not like the way the tasted at all. So I was excited when I purchased my empty cartos a week later only to find they were not the best quality of cartos. No consistancy in vapor, lots of metal taste. :?: So, I thought I have read about others who boil their cartos to clean out flavors so thats what I did, and :toast: They work better than the empty ones I purchased I will not name the vendor as I do not wish to speak negative about anyone. I think until I can find that prefect cartos that lasts for a couple hours without having to refill like I read about I will probably continue to have my analog every few days or so. Sometimes when I feel like I want one, I just keep vaping through it as the urge disappears. :vapor: I love vaping and I know one day I will be completely off my analogs. Its just trail and error.

Happy Vaping!

Seriously, take a look at bottom fed juice boxes (Ali'i, REO, Phidias, to name a few.) If you can get past the fact that they look and operate NOTHING like an analog, you might find they fit the bill for you. I fiddled with e-cigs that looked like analogs for months, and the constant refilling, dripping, battery swaps, foul-tasting or inconsistent cartos, etc. kept me returning to analogs. I even gave up vaping altogether this past summer. But once I got a bottom feeder, that was it for me. The ones that use cartos are, to me, not as good as the ones that use atomizers, and the bigger ones (like the Ali'i) have longer battery life than the smaller ones (like the Wetbox). My Ali'i lasts a good 24 hours before I need to swap the battery, and I can stretch 6ml of juice for 4-5 days or so.

No dripping, minimal refilling, long battery life, great for the car, excellent throat hit and vapor, and it uses atomizers (which last longer than cartos by far). I haven't smoked a real cigarette in weeks, and that's after 30 years of smoking.

ACM - I surely am going to take a look into bottom fed juice boxes. I had not heard of these until now. The fact that they don't look like an analog, does not bother. When I first started researching before purchasing, one of my criterias was that it did NOT look like an analog. thank you kindly. btw, where can I purchase one of these fine creations?
