One more birth story. I know a woman whose husband was in the delivery room and could never be "intimate" with her after that. He told her it grossed him out and ruined s-e-x for him. It goes without saying that he was a real knuckle-dragger.

Oh, and it won't surprise you that he is now her EX-husband.

Imagine moving to Australia?! I'd be totally messed up..

I miss Scarfy!

I looked her profile up about a week ago. I saw she had just posted on the NT thread after being gone for a long time. Scarf was heavy on this thread for a long while then kind off fell off. Cripes, I haven't been on that NT thread in months. And I was there fairly early on that one.

She's still active on FB, but I haven't chatted with her in weeks.

We get the crazy heat and humidity here too, but not the smog and pollution that I experienced growing up in Bombay. Bangkok is no different. It's BRUTAL.. You need a shower about 10 minutes after you leave your home.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
NOLA in the summer is nothing nice , we're below sea level and surrounded by water . Many culinary institute grads want to do their externship in NOLA , but a lot of restaurants especially in the quarter are historic properties and the buildings can't be modified , it's against the law so the ventilation systems in the kitchens border on nonexistent , I've worked in 140 degree heat no exaggeration and something happens here sometimes called super saturation where the humidity exceeds 100% don't know how that works but it happens , so it goes without saying that a lot of those students don't make it through the first week . It does get brutal here in the summer , so I usually look forward to winter .

Ah yes! Reminds me of the classic movie "Office Space" where the old lady on a walker passes the guys in the car on their way to work.....

I was in Los Angeles and it is lawful for sickles to ride between the cars (at least it was then). Of course, the traffic never moves on the LA Freeway system so these sickles would be tooling 60MPH between the stopped traffic. I'm like, you gotta be crazy!!!

    Hmm...motorcycle. I'd go with that.

I would rather ride a motorcycle, but you still have to deal with the rain and the crazy drivers that change lanes without looking first. Furthermore, I'd only ride a cycle that's at least 450 CC. Most bikes that big don't zig-zag through traffic well, even though I wouldn't be doing that much with a smaller bike. Besides, Mama Chak will not have it!

You got that right, Dusty. What gets me are the bus drivers - you'd swear the bus company only hires those that were former cycle riders and they still think they can maneuver in the same way!!!

Uh....have you seen how they drive/ride over there?

Howdy Hula, is your weather anything like ours today? Not a cloud in the sky and around 80˚ F.

Yeah, there sure are some crazy drivers here!

This is no fun. I want my Mommy!!!!!!!!! Wahhhhhh.........*sniffle* I can't believe I'm stranded at work. :glare:

Hang in there, RJ. It'll be alright. Good to hear your son is ok. :toast:

Yup! I can see that happening.. Cooking in a badly ventilated space would not be fun at all.

I used to look forward to Winter too, back home. Temperatures in the 50s and 60s on average in the night. Daytime temps around 70. Low humidity. Wonderful weather.. :)

In contrast, it is 0°F here in Toronto right now, with a windchill of -21°. Time to get layered up!

Have a safe Hump Day, Army!

Please be careful! I'm seeing what the weather is like up there, the roads don't look good at all.

LOL.. I just read that they are calling this Winter Storm.. Leon!!

I'm starting not to like that name anymore.. :D
