Don't listen to retic..remember he just spent a weekend away with BK. He must have caught something!

Yup I caught a backache and a twisted ankle , BK also caught a backache and sore muscles and splinters in his hands , it was 8 days of installing plywood , sheetrock and painting , no damage to my tastebuds though , maybe Dusty is going through DF withdrawal . :)

Im trying to keep a decient attitude about this :)

Oh Bunny! Please be more careful. Don't they have safety guards on their equipment? You're going to feel a bit shocked for awhile and it's going to hurt tomorrow, so don't be macho man, just look after that hand and accept sympathy and hugs. And take the painkillers!!! Shoot, you gotta keep your fingies BK, or how are you going to entertain us all here! (quite apart from needing them to wrestle with Bigfeet in the forests).

Yep, that's where the money is. I'm very glad it DID get covered so you could get some meaningful care. Will all the fingers recover -other than your new booger picker.

and while I was there.... I was asked if I had insurance... said no. the attending dr said someone will be right in to stitch it up and be on my way.... the guy i was working for texted me telling me that workmans comp will cover it, told the admittance guy that workmans comp is available. next thing i know is that I get a BP machine hooked up to me, a blood oxy sensor, X-ray of my hand ( 4 positions), an orthopedist appointment, and 2 scripts for pain, and 4 shots ( tetnus,duladid2X,fenigan?) and a buttload of lidocaine ( 2 vials) for the stitching process. during which, the NP dropped on the floor 2 pair of scissors and 1 needle clamp ( non serrated hemostats) which had to be replaced due to no longer being sterile. I wonder if all of that went on the bill?????

before insurance was mentioned only 1 vial of lidocaine was brought in, no mention of orthpedist, and 2 5mg percoset for pain...

Later folks, got some bread to bake!

Oh btw, my sourdough starter flopped, not once but twice! I'll have to try another brand of whole wheat flour next time. I'll also take Retic's and BK's advice and sterilise the utensils. :toast:

It would be a good idea to kill all the bad microbes first and give the good ones a chance , we had a sourdough culture going for a long time at one of the restaurants I worked at , took a lot of care not to contaminate it .

Oh hell no.. Fixing! Gimme a sec.

ROFL Congrats on the big post!

    You cheated

I'm going to just keep editing this post until the millennial post is taken :p

Sooo good Morning Army brats. I see a few are living up to that name.
Bunny! Please be more careful with equipment that can harm you xoxoxo

I hear you on the medical profession trying to wring as much out of the insurance companies as possible.

I had that CAT scan that I thought was a PET scan. Nope. Now I have to have a PET scan because the CAT scan doesn't pick up everything. If that is the case, why the hell did they even want a CAT scan done? I should have gone for a PET in the first place  It is just to spread the wealth. Stupid medical people....

On a VERY happy note, Step daughter got engaged yesterday! They are going to be here later today. They had flown down to Ft. Lauderdale and spent the night there then driving to our house for a couple of days visit. She has a ring on her finger

Quadruple edit: come on!!! Somebody take the darn thing already! :pervy:

    Isn't that cheating? :glare: ;)

Hey BK, hope you don't have access to a chainsaw.... Sorry to hear about your accident, :( but glad you still have all your digits! :2cool:

Ah-ha! Now I see what you did, Dusty... and still no takers....
