I'm super sensitive to loud sounds and noise. More so in the last 5 years than before. My mom has pretty severe hearing loss so I'm sure I'll be going down that road soon enough.

Short note before turning off Internet.
In the wee hours of the morning (3 AM), I was awakened by the chill in the air and found that Mama Chak moving around the room getting dressed and straightening out the bed cover a bit. I got up and went to relieve myself, returned to bed and asked why she wasn't sleeping. Her answer, "I have to get things ready in the kitchen. Today we're making deserts for the ceremony tomorrow."
"What ceremony and who is we? I thought I mentioned I need to get my school work done," I say.
"Oh, Nim (her cousin) and I and the maid, of course. You don't have to worry."
"Ok." zzzZZZZZ
Five thirty rolls around and I hear, "Chris, Chris, wake up. I need your help for a minute."
"Huh?" Come down and help put the cookies on the sheets for me, Nim isn't here yet."
Ugh, ok. Let me get some coffee first.
Just finished putting the last cookie on the cooling rack and whipped up another batch of dough for Nim to bake.

that I can relate to.... even tho Im vaping 99% of the time, the morning ciggie makes my ears ring something ferocious for about an hour after smoking it.... pretty much starts to increase in loudness after the 3rd puff....
I had 26 surgeries on each of my ears when I was a kid. I should be deaf as a stone, but I have good hearing.
The doctors told my parents that the only good thing about my surgeries was that the army would never take me. Pffft. When I turned 18 the Vietnam war was at its peak. The army doctors doing the physicals just stuck a mirror under your nose. If you fogged it up, you passed.
come to think about it, I was also plagued with ear aches as a kid.....
Either way it still sucks.
And just to put a cap on it. I got around somebody who was sick. Because I have that scratchy feeling I get when I'm going to get a cold. So a few zinc tabs tonight and see if I can head it off.
ever use those ZiCam melts??? they seem to work for me...
Using the generic ones now to try and head this off. I'll know in the morning if I caught soon enough.

My son had so many ear infections. Then he started having febrile seizures (horrible!!!) due to the spike in fever from the infections. They finally put in ear tubes when he was 1.5 years old. On the drive home from the hospital that day, his ears drained. My poor baby! He was living with all that CRAP in his ears!!
From that day forward he was a different child...a completely different child. He had some hearing loss but his got better with the tubes. They didn't have tubes when I was growing up but I bet I would have been a candidate.

Busy cleaning now-starting with double vodka bath.Does it need any more than that?
I used dawn dishwashing liquid , hope you pulled your o-rings out first , don't want to damage them .
Also make sure you unscrew the center contact pin before you unscrew the catch cup on the bottom , if not you can damage the pin and the center post .
