Ugh. I got an order from HHV in the mail yesterday. Unfortunately, the box had come open and all three of my 100ml bottles were lost. I received a retaped box with nothing but the packing slip in it. Has anyone had this experience with HHV before? I'm wondering if I can expect a replacement order or if I'm just out $120?

Wow, that really sucks. USPS definitely screwed you bad. I'm not certain, but I think those packages HHV sends them in are insured to a certain amount?? Again, not sure. perhaps you can file a claim with USPS. Meanwhile, let HHV (Adam) know what happened. You're right, HHV is not responsible but see what Adam has done in the past. I'm sure this is not the first time he's seen this. Maybe he can replace your order and then you reimburse him if/when you receive claim money from USPS. I'm not speaking for Adam in any way...just thinking out loud. But contact Adam and see what you can find. He'll at least know if those packages were insured.

Nope. Apparently their Terms and Conditions state that once a package is picked up from them, they are not responsible. So I'm out $120 and 300ml of juice until I jump through the hoops of dealing with USPS and pray that they reimburse part of my money. We'll see how that goes.

I must say I'm pretty disappointed. I've exclusively purchased juice from HHV for almost two years, and purchased thousands of dollars worth of product from them. It sucks to know that my loyalty is repaid with a "too bad", please send more money if you want your order. Those boxes are really sturdy. They typically only come open if they aren't sealed properly. But I guess it's my problem now. This is the kind of thing that really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Well, I understand both sides of that. I really do. It's a bad situation all around. USPS screws up and leaves the customer/supplier at odds. I received one of those boxes once a few years ago and the flap was not adhered. I was lucky and the merchandise was still in it. It was repair parts for lawn equipment. There are lots of postal workers who steal stuff and they can easily open those packages (and the ones that weigh the most like in your case will be the high target ones). I would be more inclined to say USPS screwed up than HHV. We'll never know.

Sorry for your loss  You can file a claim at USPS on-line right here: https://www.usps.com/ship/file-domestic-claims.htm . I kinda went through the same thing - my entire box from HHV didn't show up. It took me 3 appeals and I received a check from USPS. Because I could prove that there was a delivery of a different box from a different company on the same day - I fought it hard. My claim was for $54 and the package only had $50 for insurance. USPS cut a check for the full amount.

I am not sure how USPS will handle a "Damage" claim. I haven't really looked into what is considered "Damage" or whatever. I will say one thing, HHV is on the outside of the shipping/damage customer service stuff. Most other vendors will re-ship, while filing the insurance claim VS making the customer jump through the hoops. I had ordered from another juice vendor, and one of the glass bottles had the dripper punctured, and about 50% of the juice leaked out of the top. I called the vendor and the replace the bottle free of charge. I am unsure if that vendor filed a claim with USPS, the vendor did not ask for pictures or any evidence. Maybe other vendors have a better way of tracking abuse vs what HHV uses to track orders - just a thought.

Edd, you have been quiet also on FB lately too. I hope everything is getting better. :)

Life has its trials and we are made stronger when we survive the hardest ones. I cannot speak of what "it" is here, or anywhere, today. But, this too shall pass.

Everything is decidedly getting better. I am ready to belt out a mighty roar.
