Daughter #3 will be here today with loser boyfriend #1 of 4 so far who is getting his third chance to not be a loser. She is finally picking up her stuff. Today she will be moving more stuff than I am taking cross country with me. To be fair, I'm giving her a lot of stuff for her new place.
Waiting to hear back from my custom home builder client on the terms of our deal for home repairs. Meanwhile the work goes on. I've finished replacing the hinges on all of the kitchen cabinets, which means I got to break out the power tools which makes me happy. I began that project a few years ago. See what happens when you work 60 - 70 hours per week? Nothing gets done, that's what!

I got the job at the vape shop, it's not open yet but as manager I'm going to help him open and set up. Going to cater more to the people around my age and his age (he is quite a bit older than me) since all of the vape shops around here cater to the young people and they typically pretty much ignore us and have lost annoying music, etc.

I cannot think of anything more intimidating to women and older folks than walking in a vape shop and seeing a bunch of pimple faced, greasy, unkempt boys standing around blowing giant clouds laughing and cussing up a storm while Slayer and Megadeth are playing in the background.. I think you guys are thinking it out correctly. Congratulations Samuel.
A lot of the vape shops play techno so loud you can't think and the employees have tats and piercings on every inch of their face, I go in and unless I'm buying something and leaving I am completely ignored. Not to mention if you don't go out of your way to blow the most massive clouds possible, you can't be vaping properly...

Sam, I am thrilled for you. This sounds like the perfect job. You are targeting the right folks. Good deal for sure. Yes, the shop here is full of young guys, and almost all are big cloud chasers. As a woman in my 50's, they pretty much ignore me too. The shop an hour away is the same thing. The place is full of vaper, and the guys working there are more interested in blowing dragon breath amounts of clouds, ignoring people like me. I have to go to the dentist in that town. I don't know if I will stop by there, or not. Probably not. Their loss. So Sam, it would be nice to have a store, like the one you are talking about. I won't hold my breath on one like that opening here.

I think we have pretty mellow vape stores here, I've never felt intimidated in any of them. Although I'm generally not intimidated by piercing tattoos or pimply boys. Must be my job.
I'm like you, April. I don't get intimidated. But I do get ignored a lot. I've had some good experiences though too. Given a choice, I'd go to a shop that caters to my crowd.
