Sheesh Pop. Is this nitwit new? Or did he just make a dumb stupid mistake? Did you explain to anyone what happened or anything to get "their" side of the story? (though I must admit, I'm the first to go off and who wants to slug someone for what their actions say to me, before I ask questions). Is there any possibility this was just a big ol screw up at all that had unintended consequences? With your dedication I'd be my on my knees apologizing, pleading and genuinely offering to make it up to you personally.

Wednesday I drove almost 700 miles, Thursday drove another 400 just to be back in Charlotte by 6am. After unloading, they asked if I could do a short one (busy season) so I did. Signed up on a Beckley WV (500 paid miles = $190) for Friday. Then the stuporviser calls me on my phone to tell me he's taking me off the Beckley because he needs someone to make Thomasvillle delivery ($80). On the promise that the Beckley would be there for me Monday.
That turned out to be a lie. First you take over $100 out of my pocket, then the 'back end' is an empty promise.
I had that Freightliner sideways going off the Shipping Yard. Did a circle spin in the truck parking area, backed in to a spot, and walked.
I still have that job, apparently. Not sure I want it. I also have an application for a company that hauls produce from Miami back to Carolina for Harris Teeter (local grocery chain). More money, less home time.
Either way, I really couldn't care less for the job I am on.
Edit : By the way, my Monday delivery is a 5am in Charlotte. $43.
I'd be pizzed off too , but I can't council anyone to walk off their job despite me having been there and done that myself , you're the only one that knows your full set of circumstances , do what you gotta do Brett .

No, Hula, not a screw up. Just the way they treat people. They really don't care at all. But then they cry the blues when their freight isn't being delivered.
Not yet, retic. Too many responsibilities to just bolt, but I will focus more on finding another job.

I am taking antihistamines, apparently it isn't enough. This stuff gets into your system, and once it's there, it is hard to get rid of. I went out to give my dog a quick brushing. She is still shedding pretty badly. I came back in, and I have a new bump, next to my mouth now. The itching was severe. I can't use hot water, and Dawn...the heat makes this stuff pop out more. Now if I had just been in contact with it(initially), I will use the hottest water possible, with Fels-Naptha soap, or Dawn. But once it's in your system, you are stuck with it. That VA. Creeper has barbs in it, and they get under your skin.

Retic, I just don't get these vaping freedom suckers. I am still mad about the Texas new law, that I still don't quite understand the ramifications of yet.

Brett, you should do what you feel is right for you, and your family. I hate that they were trying to mess you over like that. Where is the honor anymore? Eat is a dog eat dog world out there, and getting worse everyday.

I have a Harris Teeter 0.6 miles from my front step. Let me know when you visit that store.

I am still fighting that Virginia Creeper allergy attack. It was almost gone, then I went to my friends out in the country, and it started popping back up. Then it was getting better. So I went out yesterday to take pics of my beloved dog Bella. She turned 10 months old yesterday. Well the heat made the poison ivy like rash start popping back out again. My face was itching, around my eyes too, and especially my nose. The bumps were on my jaw line, and chin, and even below. Took another allergy pill, and coated some calamine lotion on my face. If I don't look cute...ugh. I look like some weird pink bearded lady. I was supposed to go to a river party tomorrow evening. I guess that is out for sure. No way I'm gonna be getting out in the heat. Besides that Virginia Creeper is out there too. Maybe not along the path, but I'm not taking any chances.

Kkay, you and I must be kin, I was out in the garden with Mama Chak the other raking leaves and cutting/pulling weeds and overgrowth. Next day my itching and scratching is back on my forearms and lower legs. What I thought was heat rash was probably an allergy to something I cut in the yard or maybe a bit of both. The Eucerin cleanser and lotion are keeping the itching to a minimum.

No honey you ain't a whiner..I am though because the doctor just gave me some new heart meds..They are NOT cheap either..Why I can't get them to understand if it's not made in a generic my wallet can't take it. :(

    Feel better soon Legs.

Neither can mine. In the same boat here too.

That sucks, Brett. I was where you're at just last year and still in transition. Hope things work out for the better. Hang in there.

If I take the job, I would be driving TO Harris Teeter Dist. Center from farmlands in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. Not from Dist. Center TO Store. That's another job, manned by Harris Teeter employees.

    I love Harris Teeters.
I hate Papaw being mistreated! :-x

Thanks you, O lovely one behind mysterious eyes.

Good Saturday Morning Army. Enjoy your Weekend, and Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

No no Pop. You're not getting it. Bronze wants you to work at the Harris Teeter near him, so you can bring him breakfast when he finally wakes his ol' bones up (around 10 a.m.).

That might be a problem. I can't remember working for a company where early deliveries start at 10am. I have delivered groceries to Wal Mart Supercenters (over 1o years ago) and they were a 24 hour operation...
