I know at -25 you do not want to set the trailer brakes. The brake shoes freeze to the drum.
The tractor brakes will do the same thing, but the drive train has enough power to break them loose. This is also why the air tanks for the brake system have manual drains, and should be drained every day, year 'round. Ice in the air line could create a brake system failure.
Diesel fuel needs anti- jel additives. Washer fluid needs to be twice as concentrated. Secure cardboard inside the hood grill to keep the radiator warm. And carry kitty litter and bleach in the sidebox in case you get stuck in snow / ice.

All of which is why I am much happier in Carolina.

is the bleach used to clean the kitty litter before you use it? ;)

Must get motivated.. We've got cold/possible wintry accumulation coming on Sunday so I need to get groceries today.. House is a disaster too. Working at the restaurant tomorrow night, it will be crazy busy with V-Day being on Saturday (and BIL is short-handed). DH and I had dinner out last night for our V-Day/anniversary-no cards, no gifts and I'm good with that. He'll be busy on the actual anniversary.

Happy early Anniversary, Bridget, whenever it is... Valentine's Day is marks the day Mama Chak and I started dating.

Now she's doing deep cleaning all round the house getting ready for her sister and our daughter's visit next month.

Yay it's Friday... We're going to be cold here for the next week but not subzero and no major snow so I'll take it. Think I'm finally feeling a little better just continue to lay low and get plenty of rest. We have our mini vacation next weekend and I want to be feeling good by then. My uncle seems to be pretty settled for now, visits are emotional but that is understandable. My aunt is doing better, finally have her convinced that using the walker will help her.

Good Morning Army.

Bronze has me beat in the motor mouth category :glare: I don't see you all picking on him!

Congratulations BK on the 10k posts. Yes, if a thread is deleted, the posts that were in there get wiped out. A closed thread? The posts remain and so does the post count. Lounge and OUTSIDE posts do not get counted. If they did, omg I would be past Bronze in post counts.

I hope everyone has a great day :)
