Morning Army Family.

Retic..Happy for ya dood!
No wonder we all get along so well together... We're all a bunch of old farts... Born too late for Woodstock and too early for alternative rock. Thank goodness for the second half of that clause!

Afternoon y'all! Made it to the beach in one piece, and got to see a lot of firsts along the way (mountains etc) so it was a mostly good trip. Unfortunately pill kept me up most of the trip and now I'm plumb wore out. Between that and second degree burn on my foot from the sand... Eh. Just waiting til 2 to check in and get a shower and a bunch of water in myself at this point. I think tonight will be just sticking around the pool and apartment, we're all pretty beat after 12 hrs of driving.

Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend. Will check in later, and will add pics when I get some

Ok, think I'm all caught up... Evening Army!!!

Feeling much better today but still not quite 100%. Had a bout of constipation Saturday night - took a laxative before bed and went from one end of the spectrum to the other all day Sunday. Worse thing about it was that both Mama Chak and I had a lot of baking planned that day. Seems like every other tray coming out of the oven was followed by a run to the head. Sorry, if that's TIM, but by 9:30 PM I was thoroughly pooped out.

I would not recommend Epsom salts as a laxative, or would but with a disclaimer to use the smallest dose recommended on the package. The dose on my package said, 2-6 teaspoons devolved in a full 8 oz. of water. It can be divided up throughout the day or taken as a single daily dose. Lemon juice can be added to improve the taste.

I figured 6 was gonna be too much, sure, so I dropped it down to 4 tsp and did the single dose. Two tsp would have been optimum I believe and yes, lemon juice and sugar helps get it down. Man, that is God awful stuff!!

One good thing that came from this episode is that Mama let me sleep in... I put in a full 8 hours sleep and got another old man nap with a hot water bottle in the afternoon.

Oh, the pics I was talking about earlier will be coming up as soon as I can find where I left my phone. Don't worry no pics of the bathroom runs, just some bread and cakes. The multi-grain sourdough came out really nice. Can't wait to try some for breakfast in the morning.
I used to see those old comedies on tv where they gave the kids castor oil and the horrible faces the kids would make after tasting it and wondered how bad it could be . Well it ain't the taste , it's the effects . Dr. gave me some the day before a test , I was explosive for two days , had to get up off the exam table at the hospital with an IV attached to me and run , the technician complained about me running , wasn't in the mood for that , told him what he could do to himself , how to do it and where to do it at , scratching epsom salt off the home remedy list . :)

I was just a kid during Woodstock. Well, now that I think of it, MOST of us here were. I loved that music back then. The 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's...all the way up until now. Back then I loved all of it just about. Now the older I get, the less of the new stuff I like. But the new folks have some cool music too. Some of it is not worth a flip though...LOL. I think being 2-4 years older back then, would be alright. But, I'm glad I was born back then, and not now. We had a lot more freedom, and less stress, than they do now.

175 bucks for a TICKET? Wow. Now that is a shock. No way I could go, that is if I wanted to. I used to go all the time in my 20's. Let's just say it has been a while since the last time I went. The last concert I saw was Kenny Wayne Shepherd at The Strand Theatre. That place was gorgeous. I love old architecture like that. I made my son go with me. He ended up enjoying it very much! That was several years ago though.

I paid $6 for my first concert ticket. Foghat/UFO in around 1975/76. A t-shirt was $3 and you could pick from a bunch of different colors (not just black).
