The reason hubs is in so much pain is because the tumor is so large it's pressing on surrounding, nerves, organs etc. The only hope for relief is shrinking the tumor.
I can imagine. That would be like one of us swallowing a baseball.

Has your's gone back up,Robin?

Yes, I got it down to 70.something. Slowly going up but other things can cause it to rise. I'm waiting on the next CT scan before I start panicking. I'm also looking at HIPEC and after the next scan, will see if I'm eligible for it.

Yes. It's a rare liver cancer that's actually a bile duct cancer.

It's inoperable AT THIS TIME. Let the chemo shrink it and then consult with a surgeon that specializes in that particular cancer.

I found The Colon Club. It is a forum that is dedicated to all different types of colorectal cancers. Maybe you can find one that is just about your husband's. If not for that forum, I wouldn't have the knowledge about HIPEC. I also have gotten leads on GOOD doctors that perform hundreds each year.

An oncologist will not be good at getting you a good surgeon. They deal with chemo only. You need to find a surgeon.

It is not easy to filter through but so worth the fight.

The tumor is wrapped completely around the bile ducts. Even if it shrinks it's still inoperable.

Made a three-cheese bread in the bread machine. Has ricotta, cheddar, and asiago (I used parmesan). Very good!

Sounds yummy! I’m impressed! I’ve made one with cheddar and jalapeño (quite spicy) and another with Monterey Jack, Parmesan and bacon. The bacon one was incredible!

Today’s bread was an easy garlic bread. It’s a flatbread topped with fresh grated Parm and garlic powder. Totally addictive. A little dry, but dipping in olive oil made it outrageously good.

A friend gave me an Amazon gift card. Tomorrow or Saturday I’ll have a French bread rack. It’s used for making baguettes. My sourdough starter won’t be ready until next week, but I may have to try out the pan ahead of time.

My darn freezer’s gonna be loaded up with all this bread!

If I had a bread machine, I'd weigh 400 pounds.

Same here! I need to ease up! I’m making it by hand and trying to learn the tricks. It’s coming out so yummy! Freezing it for later helps. But somebody needs to stop me! :D

It all sounds awesome. I was looking at a machine recipe that had bacon in it. Guess I'll have to do that one too. You talked me into it. Is bread great or what? I use a bread stone too. Do you have one of those?

I was just browsing those before seeing your post! Great minds think alike. I used to have a pizza stone I loved, but never used it for bread. My problem is they are heavy and I don’t have much storage space. Does it really make a difference? Do you preheat it?

Oh! Be sure to bake the bacon in the oven wrapped in parchment paper at 400 degrees. It’s awesome! Let it cool then crumble it. It gets added at the mix ingredient beep. (Making my mouth water just thinking about it in bread!)

David, I think you got the same storm system that went through here. I hope it doesn't cause too many problems for you. Keep your eyes peeled, and stay safe. The forecast predicts two good dry days for Friday and Saturday for us. I filled two kitchen garbage bags with rain water by my door, to block water. I couldn't block it all the way because of the dogs going in and out. You can't lift the bag, since it is kinda flimsy. But you can fill it with a milk jug or pitcher until it brings the level up. So the lower level by my door would block some water that way. It is kinda like a sand bag, without sand...just water. I hate it when we are flooding and then get massive rain at night and through early morning hours especially.

Evening.....It rained all day except for about an hour... A few of the counties I run in are under flood warning. Looks like a couple of the roads I take sometimes may be closed due to high water. could make tomorrow interesting..

Ingenious! But I’m really sorry you’re still dealing with that. I can’t believe you had to be out sweeping at 2 am. I’m sure hoping and praying you get a break soon.
