Just when you think you’ve seen it all! Yesterday someone sent what seemed to be a wrong number text to me. Being a good citizen, I replied to say they had the wrong number. Twenty minutes later I get a weirdly worded apology text. I reply “no problem” and half an hour later “Isabella” tells me where she lives and wants to know my name and where I live. I don’t reply.

According to the BBB, this is a scammer strategy that uses AI to chat with you and lure you in. Ugh.

Small house, way out in the sticks. It's just me so I don't need anything big. It's more like a cabin than a house.

We're actually building it ourselves. Me and my two boys and a friend of mine that's been building houses since there have been houses I think. He's really good. I never really thought I was going to be building it myself, and it's a pain in the ...., but you can't find anyone that wants to work anymore, and the ones that do want to work do crappy work and charge way too much for it.

Finding good help is about impossible anymore. It’s a sad commentary. At least you have your boys helping out. A house to keep in the family. Who cares if it’s small. Less upkeep, less bills and with no neighbors you don’t have to behave yourself. Maybe get a horse and save on gas.

Same here, except it’s a less than slight chance of shower. Fog this morning will keep our high to 86 today. Tuesday it’s 97.
