Just when you think you’ve seen it all! Yesterday someone sent what seemed to be a wrong number text to me. Being a good citizen, I replied to say they had the wrong number. Twenty minutes later I get a weirdly worded apology text. I reply “no problem” and half an hour later “Isabella” tells me where she lives and wants to know my name and where I live. I don’t reply.
According to the BBB, this is a scammer strategy that uses AI to chat with you and lure you in. Ugh.
