Warmish here but kinda wants to rain. Bottom falls out Sat when temps drop. Then warms up right away. Got some new chains for the saw. Gonna file the bar tomorrow and if it’s not raining I’m gonna try to tackle the rest of that white oak that fell out back. I have about 35’ of 20-28” diameter rounds to cut up. I really need a bigger saw but will make due with what I have. My saw is a tired old soul. Not sure what she has left.
Evening... Middle of the week done. Stopped by Urgent Care on the way home. Got up with one ear hurting. They didn't see any infection but gave me some antibiotics. Told me to way 3 days to see if it gets better before taking them.. I've been through this before so I don't expect it to get better...
My thoughts as well. But at the moment it does feel better...
Kinda shocking to hop on to ECF and see a huge ad for a $185 ..... Strange times.

Well, I’d be proud of you cuz my saw ran like a champ today. I had that sucker perfectly tuned. Totally dialed in and I got a lot done today. About a third of the job left. I quit cuz she was slowing down so I brought her back to the garage and gave her another complete filing…bar and chain. Should be good to go. I’m sawing 24” oak with an 18” bar. It will not do the job unless everything is perfect. Filed and squared bar, sharp teeth, exact same geometries on each tooth, each raker filed to the same depth.
Well how ‘bout that! Us old gals can be surprising. And you better hope Mrs Bronze doesn’t happen to stop by and see you wax eloquent about the merits of your saw. You won’t get away with “Ditto” anymore when she says she loves ya.
Afternoon.... Made it to the 30s but still feels cold... Mid 50s next week.... It's warm enough for Scruffy to sit outside...
Made it to 36 here. Unusually cold for us in NC. Natives wouldn’t come out of their houses. Being a former Chicago product, I went out and finished cutting that white oak so i was productive.
Afternoon.... We are in the upper 40s. A 20+ mph wind is not letting it feel that way... Still it's much better than it's been lately...
Worked on the Bleep today. Some kinda noise. Never ends. Kinda tired tonight. Gonna hit the rectangle early.

Good evening. Finished stacking logs and cleaning up debris. I’m wrecked. Little more to do but not much. Hope all are well. Curious how Mamaw is doing.
Finished cleaning up next door. My neighbor has become decrepit over the last few years so I cleaned up all around his property. Generated a big ole burn pile. Took it easy today. Prepped my saw for a long nap. Took a drive thru the woods. Went 70+ today. Too nice to be inside.
