It is a sad day. Robert E. O'Neill (REO mods) has announced his semi-retirement. He will still continue to sell mods (he recently stated that he has over 1000 in stock) and that he will continue to service the mods he has sold. But he is downsizing, now it will be only himself working in his shop. His Vendors Forum on the ECF, commonly known as "Reoville" will be closing soon. Before Long, Reoville will be no more.

Closing the forum soon
That's really sad. Gotta be happy for Rob but still sad that his forum will be closing.

what good is the time change for?? how does it benefit society? Ive heard it will cost companies across America millions of dollars in wages due to poor performance and lost hours due to late arrivals... it also causes stress to those with a strong "body clock"...

and.... there are states that dont even acknowledge it... hmmm

Mod holder I made a few weeks ago. It's a cell phone holder I got for $3 at the discount store. Then a little cutting and some glue and I don't have to put the mod in my pocket.

I agree it doesn't apply anymore and should be ended. And I don't care which time is used just pick one and leave it there.

I like when it's lighter out later so I'd vote for daylight savings time and keep it there. I always get bummed in the fall when the clocks would fall back and it is pitch black by 5PM. Yuck!

OMG Kkay! I'm SO sorry to hear this - I'll read more before I make any more comment, see what happened......
Well I evacuated Wed. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get out. 3 ways out, and two of them were flooded. I decided to leave during the day, while I could see, and get the truck started. If I had waited until that night, I might've had to climb a tree, and be stuck with a pile of water moccasins around me. The current broke my fence. I live up the hill from that, but the water was almost up to my porch. That was the first time I ever left. I have been gone for two nights. I went to stay with my friends, who live on higher ground. I have never seen the water this high here. Louisiana is also in very bad shape. But I came back today. It is raining now, but it is supposed to be light rain. Hopefully the water won't rise up again. BK, I think you are getting some of this mess now.

Had a phone conversation with the architect. We will not be renovating the MIL's house. The cost would be outrageous. He said the typical cost for the area is $130.00 per sq. ft. He was very honest about how it all works even though he lost a client LOL. He would rather be honest about how much it runs. He did say that it is cheaper to level a house and start over than it is to do a major renovation.

She has a room that we know is not permitted, just to redo that one room would be approximately $31,000. The garage would be more than $31,000 for that alone. Not to mention all the updates I would need to have done before moving in there. The kitchen etc...... Just too much. That's not even talking about the pool. That needs a face lift also. I know there has to be a leak or something going on with it. Not worth doing at this point. If it needs any major repair, she would rather fill it in. LOL I don't have the heart to tell her that it would have to be removed instead of filling in.

Now we are looking at other options. Damn. I was hoping this would have worked out. I don't want to take this to a contractor that would cut corners and do non permitted work.

Back to looking at properties. If we do decide to have a custom house built, I know how much his fees are for plans. $5.00 per sq ft. is his price. That still is a good chunk of change. Say I want a 2,500 sq ft house = $12,500 just for his fee.

I wish I was rich

Yikes, Robin, just yikes!! :shock::(

Looking over plans. This is fun! :D
And yes, it does seem like a pipe dream.... but mannnnnnnnnn what a dream ;)

This one I love  Mediterranean Home Plans - Mediterranean Style Home Designs from HomePlans.com

That is gorgeous!!

I am both safe and dry right now. We had a severe thunderstorm a while ago. I thought no, not again. Buckets and buckets of rain. Yesterday they said we'd have scattered showers. They also said Sunday would be clear and sunny. Well now Monday will be clear, at least that's what they said this morning. I haven't looked this afternoon yet. I did glance at the radar though.

Update: Oh I am so glad, they changed it back to mostly sunny for tomorrow. Whew. 20% chance of rain tonight. Sounds like a winner to me, unless it is buckets coming down again.

Wow, Kkay, please take care! I'm so sorry this is happening.

I am very nervous about what this hurricane season will bring . . .:cry::unsure:

Motion is seconded! Do we hear any objections? :D

I'm okay. I drove by the river this afternoon. It is still extremely high. In a few days we will get more rain. I hope it is not heavy rain. Louisiana and Mississippi really had a rough go, with the same storm system that came through here first. My heart goes out to them. I talked to one of my neighbors today. She said the water was only 12 feet from reaching her house. Right at the next block a lady had to have a rescue team get her out of her townhouse. I wish I could just move away. If I had somewhere to put my stuff, until I could sell this place, I would! I am definitely going to try for at least 400 ft above sea level this go round though.

You bet you do. 1am comes soon enough, no need to make it sooner.

Reoville is no more. Seems so odd. I doubt I would have kept vaping if it were not for the old time Reonauts. They are still around, scattered across various threads and Facebook. But three years ago, you could spend an evening being entertained by simply going to Reoville.

Off on another overnight run to Kentucky and back. See you tomorrow.

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

Made pepperoni & cheese pizza with sourdough crust tonight - man, is it ever good! Only problem is I made too much. I should have halved the recipe as it said it would yield two 12" thin crust pizzas. One 12" pizza would have more than enough to satisfy my craving because Mama Chak is not a pizza lover. Guess I'll be eating frozen/microwaved pizza for a while.

Any ideas as to what is a typical turn around time for an order? Placed my first on Friday and am anxiously awaiting arrival. I appreciate that orders are custom mixed vs grabbed off a shelf. Thank you.

Hi Mike,
We have gotten much faster over the years, however, it will still takes a few days to process your order. Bear with us due to the custom nature of our liquids.

Thanks,
Adam
