Friday!
Tomorrow I take my last flight to Texas. It will be good to get the rest of the stuff done. Yet, sad at the same time.

I will be there for a little over a week, boxing things up, before my daughter and some of her family get there. Then we load a truck and start driving. A small convoy consisting of a car and a truck. ;).

I have all the paperwork ready to hand over to the neighbor that is getting the house.

Driving from Texas to Florida first, to drop the stuff I'm keeping, then they will continue on to Michigan. Daughter is getting Mom's car. A 2002 Buick with only 28,000 miles and has always been garaged when not being driven. Pristine outer condition. Inside...it was a smokers car, actually has ashtrays in it!

Still have a couple of things to handle while there. Closing bank accounts, paying a couple of bills and returning internet box.

I think I have everything on my list....
coming thru Nawlins on the way up??? ;)

David, how are them hearing aids working?

They're working. I've had a couple adjustments and another one Tuesday. Things still sound a little crisp to me. But for the most part I'm hearing most people and TV/radio a lot better. I think it's going to take time for my brain to adjust to hearing some sounds and be able separate some of them. I don't expect things to be 100%. So far the improvement is worth it.

How good are they for listening to stereo music or surround sound? Do you kind of lose the fidelity.

Surround sound from the TV is OK. I really only listen to the radio and it depends on the station and the song. Most are OK but some are off. It's like I'm hearing some tracks better than others. Like the volume isn't the same on all the tracks. I'm listening to Alan Parsons on youtube right now and it sounds OK. In fact I haven't had any trouble with the PC.

Isn't it GREAT!!!!!! So happy you're finding HHV to your taste! My nan used to make me coffee with liquid coffee called "Camp". Anyone remember that, or was it just an English brand? Somehow she'd get the balance right every time, and it sure beat "Sanka", which was hybrid of coffee and chicory (eewwww), because at that time there was a huge coffee shortage, and coffee cost a fortune.
We didn't have Camp, must be an English brand, but we did have Sanka and yes, yuck! Sanka sucks!!!

Bronze, yer talking e-cig code. Deciphered for those not familiar with the code that translates to: "Ah yes, Dragon's Fire by HHV in my kayfun Mini, version 3, on my Provari v3 at 10 Watts is heavenly." :D

I would think Alan Parsons would be a good test for hearing aids.

Mama Chak tried to wake me at 5:30 AM to do some chores before my morning class at 9. I got up at 6. The woman's a slave driver.

*Chak ducks flying frying pan* :danger:
Hop to it Chak! Else I'll come over there and throw the stove at you.

Actually, hubby suggested stopping in Nawlins on the way through to Florida!!!! Any not too expensive places that I could get two double rooms???? I would LOVE to meet up with you and Retic!!!!! He suggested we overnight there and it is about a 10 hour drive to our house from Nawlins...........

If I can keep this part of the trip in my sights, it will make the rest of it bearable ;)

hmmm dont think there is anything big going on at the moment so prices should be lower than the usual rates... what level of "comfort" are you looking at?

We have rewards with the Hilton chain. Hampton or Doubletree are the hotels we usually stay at.

Good Morning Army. I don't understand what Chak is complaining about... never took Keyboarding, I type with four fingers - first two of both hands. I delete a lot of misspelled words, too. But I get my point across.
Robin, I-10 is the main corridor from Texas to Florida. Expect a rough ride through Mississippi, unless things have changed they don't spend a lot on their highways.
DO NOT stop in Houston, TX or Lafayette, LA ! Trust me, there are better places along the Interstate.
Enjoy the Journey. It's a good time of the year to travel in Dixie.
Not going to do much today. I'll be heading out on a two-night run tomorrow for Alliance/ Canton on Monday.

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)
