Chak, my prayers are going out for Mama Chak for a full recovery. I thought it was a crack, not a full break? I am surprised they want to put an artificial piece in for a cracked bone. It must be cracked badly then. I am so sorry to hear it is this serious. You know that we are anxious to hear how the surgery went.

OK Chak, how is Mama?
Operation was a success Mama's in less pain and can lay on her side again. Tomorrow we'll see how well she can stand/walk. She was a bit anxious about the whole thing and didn't sleep well last night - hopefully she sleeps better tonight. She was also worried about her speech - her mouth was swollen a bit after waking. That should clear up as anesthesia meds wears off.
