Good Morning Army. Another Monday is upon us.
I sat and spoke with Loser #5 yesterday, and I gave him my blessings, And advice. They have known each other for four years, even lived together for a year and a half at one point. Don't really know why they need my blessings....
Mike, I have a few (16) Reos mods myself. I really just don't see the need for another device. A Reos Grand is nearly indestructible. Mated with an RM2, it delivers a superior vape. I use AW IMR 2200 mAh batteries, and they last me through the workday. The onboard juice bottle means no having to carry juice around anymore. The Reos has been described as a VR - Variable Resistance device. The newer Grand can go down to 0.25 Ohms before the battery spring collapses (by design), meaning if you wanted to you could push 50 Watts out of a Reos. But I prefer a 1.4 ohm coil, which gets me around 11W to start with.:thumb:
A Woodvil is a hand made work of art that is aesthetically pleasing to vape with, but not as durable as the metal Grand. :hubba:
The VV Grand and the P67 are no longer in production.:(
The Reos Mini is a good stealth vaping device for ladies to hide in their pocketbooks, but I am assuming you are not that kind of guy.
And don't let the term "Grand" concern you. By itself, the Grand is about 3 1/2" tall, 2" wide and maybe 1" thick. Smaller than a pack of cigarettes.
Like retic, I would recommend that you start with a Reos LP Grand and an LP RM2. Just don't be too surprised if you wind up buying more than one. Let us know what you decide.

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

Mike , another little bit of FYI about the REO's , I noticed that you use a Radius , while the AW button top batteries are the recomended battery for the REO Grand , I have used Sony flat top VTC4's and 5's in my REO's without a hitch , it makes for a little longer button throw on the Grand but they will get the job done . I should add that using a little noalox on the contact and battery becomes a must to cut down arcing with the flat top batteries , I have made the occasional foray down to .4 ohms with a dual coiled bf Velocity on my Grand and VTC4's are my battery of choice at that resistance .

I'm back and Mama Chak will be back tomorrow. That said, we're having pizza and beer tonight followed by a glass of Cabernet Shiraz by Bushman's Gully winery. I have never dunk this wine before so we'll see how it goes.

Now to find a good movie to top it off... ;)

If you should decide to get a REO, couple of things ; Don't MASH the fire button. Just gently depress. Basic maintenance is take off the door, take out the battery and juice bottle, and rinse with hot water. Some of the more complicated finish, like copper vein, require a clear coat, whereas basic colors don't have to have one. Extra parts should include a battery spring, door magnet, rubber o-ring (both sizes). A spare juice bottle, and an Allen wrench for the adjustable 510 connector, will come with the mod.
Until recently, there was a Reos Mods sub-forum in the Vendors section. Affectionately called "REOVille", that forum has closed. But it is still available, and there is a wealth of information concerning Reos products there.

Thanks @retic1959 and @PapawBrett. I did find all the previous threads and such...looks like I'm late to the party but at least it's still going on. Pretty sure I will get the LP Grand and atty, as well as some spare parts, that were recommended. I just need to read up a bit as far as safety. Sounds like the spring will give way should I do anything not advisable, but would like to avoid that and understand a little bit more before I fire it up. Thanks again. I appreciate the guidance.

Mike, if you truly are going to go the REO way, you might want to order now and while waiting for it, read, read, read.

In this unsteady climate, regarding FDA regs, I'm of the mindset to not put off those purchases. Get them, then figure out how to use them.

I'm doing that with nic. I've never done the DIY but I have the nic base in place. If the crap hits the fan sooner than expected, I know I have time to learn. ECF isn't going anywhere any time soon.

So, how much is a REO?

That's for the advice in your prior post as well @Robino1! Yes I will place an order very soon. Looks like mod, atty, battery and spare parts say $250. A little spendy on the surface but a great vape, and some piece of mind for future proof, is priceless. Need to get some Dragon's Fire too!

Well damn, do I have to get something different than what I am using? Will the kayfun or the kabuki work on these? Are they only squonking devices?

So many questions, so little time. I have batteries that I use on ProVari. Button top and flat top. Flat top for the P3.
